not really.

http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey

over 80% of gamers are running win7 now and the majority of those are running a DX11 GPU.

All I have to say is if you are trying to run this game on a 7900/X1900 have fun. Your frame rates are going to be awful. Was that way in PS, isn't going to be any better in this game. I would at the very least have a 8800 GTX that is 6 years old come this fall.

I recall the devs stating a couple of times that it'd run on XP, which means DX9. And w/ Win7 you get DX10. Dunno about extra 11 features tho.

Oh, and Sky, I thought all of FC were already butt pirates. Isn't that enough?

Yeah I honestly no idea why they'd support DX9 for a game with something like a 2013 release date. We already have DX10/11 games and your FPS crowd that's playing F2P shooters like Tribes Ascend and such aren't using 10 year computers.

Well I cant say that it will run on DX9. But I will say cards are so damb cheap now adays, long as you have a pci-e port you can get a DX11 card thats just slightly better then your useing for as cheap as $20-40 bucks, Lest here in Canada.
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=50...cture=Gigabyte
you dont need a new top of the line card, say if you using AMD then get lest HD5000 type.

That isn't a gaming card at all. People should be looking at nothing less then a 6650 or GT 430 for gaming. Anything else will be bad performance.

However, i still have my concerns. The biggest one is that i have also heard it said that PS2 will only run on DirectX 10 or higher. This would be terrible for me as i simply cannot afford to upgrade either my OS (i run XP) or my graphics card right now. Does anyone have any up-to-date information on exactly how this is being handled? i know the graphics for PS2 that have been shown so far are mind-blowing (for me at least) and i'm very worried my old clunker of a computer simply won't be able to handle it.
If people are interested i might be able to find my PC's specs, but right now all i'm interested in is the DirectX question.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

DX 10 (2006) is over 5 years old, DX 9 (2002) is 10 years old.

Sorry fella, but you most likely will need DX 10.

it was pretty amazing, i ended up breaking mine when attempting to OC it, attempted to place it with a 6600GT(teach me for going nvidia), that broke within a week, so i traded that in and got a...hrm testing the memory not, i think it was an X950XT? could have been 850, it was pretty much the last of the AGP series cards.
