Has Planetside even ever had private servers made? I'd love it if someone created an emulator in the event the PS1 servers go down.

Someone at one point had a private server, but it was never released to the point of people playing on it. As far as I remember he only played around on it to figure out more about the game. No idea how he got it running either.

It would be nice, but unlikely. I recall when SWG got shut down that SOE refused to release the source code. SWG had a much bigger following than PS did, so I would really doubt they'd ever release source code/they even have a source code since they never acknowledge it's existence.

I would honestly love to see PS1 "private servers". I doubt it would ever happen but it would be nice if PS2 doesn't light that spark that PS1 did.

Even with private servers, it will just be a ghost of the game we all loved. Like SWG Emu. It's nice to visit once in awhile, but it just isn't the same.

someone on here had an idea about planetside subs being incorporated into ps2 subs.personally i think this'd be a great idea.

the old bastards can have their fun,and new PS2 players can see what planetside is.

bit like a tour of a NASA rocket facility by liberals.

That sounds awesome Many people cannot run PS 2 at acceptable frames right now anyway.
