Huh, apparently mouse acceleration is on here, but it's so mild I hadn't realized it (although I had wondered why I couldn't aim in TF2 anymore (since moving from XP), the last time I tried playing it).

You guys need to be careful. You're drilling down to some great details of a game and you might be confused for a competitive gamer. You're talking esports language up there and I love it!!

Anyone who talks about dpi and on mouse sensitivity as it relates to mouse acceleration in an FPS game is a friend of mine.

Agreed, acceleration is just terrible. Though i slightly cried when in the video for MMORPG someone asked "Can i use my 360 controller to play?". For... infantry...

I must admit I'm surprised with the amount of support here Except for that one guy questioning my grammar and contributing nothing. (Not that I'm surprised about that)

I'm not disputing mouse acceleration is out there, your video and link prove that it is, but if things like this bother you, you either have your mouse sensitivity though the roof, or you have one of those mice with 'on the fly' sensitivity buttons. I've never experienced the issue you describe.

Mind you, I generally have my in-game mouse sensitivity set within the first quarter of the bar, and I don't use a multi-dpi mouse. Maybe that's why I've never had a problem?
Oh yea, forgot to say, yea its a pretty common issue people find, especially in BF games.

http://www.google.com.au/search?q=bf...RqkMGJB7Pi3Z4N

and that's only the posts from people who know what the issue is. you search for words like sensitivity or mouse issues and you get lots of other results.

As much as I love to bash consoles, I don't think that the negative mouse acceleration problem (turning slower the faster you move your mouse) is a result of console gaming. Console controls are already unwieldy enough that they don't have to worry about people spinning around in the blink of an eye and headshotting someone.

I think it's a solution to try and make some PC games less twitch intensive. I don't really know how I feel about it. I've had friends complain about it in some games, but I rarely notice it until I look for it specifically.

If I look hard, I notice negative acceleration in Arma 2 and BF3. It's not a problem in TF2 though. Different games with different expectations... I don't know what I would prefer for PS2.

Well yea in consoles it wouldn't be a mouse but what i mean is that the X/Y inputs, console or PC are effected, i dunno im having a hard time thinking of the console control stick, but you would want it so that when you tap it hard it doesn't respond rapidly so aiming is fluid and not jittery, hence the negative acceleration on fast movements. since its not that you want to move your cursor far, its you want it to move fast and yea it would seem this code, made for consoles is then carried over into the PC code. (since BF games are made for console and then ported to PC)

Uhh, well seeing as I've played more flying games with my 360 controller than my mouse I'd love to try this feature out. By flying game I mean Ace Combat, so take that as you will, but I am extremely comfortable with the controls for that game, you should try it out.

2 things:

1) I love how the OP calls out battlefield, when BF3 removed negative mouse acceleration last year.

2) If you really want the developers to consider your point, then you shouldn't insult them by calling their new game a clone. Try stating the case in a civil manner without a malicious thread title. Grow up.

Last time i checked...it was about 16 hours ago...BFBC2 still had it in...so why is it wrong to call out Battlefield?

Iv grown up man, i don't play consoles anymore.
