All that dust could be a feature for Indar only (not talking about smoke obviously), as they stated they want continents to look different, but also have different kinds of weather and features.

I have zero problem with explosive shots obscuring the target for a bit, particularly on Indar. You know, so long as it's not a setting that can be disabled or turned down, and so long as the obscurement affects the target, as well.

If that much dust is kicked up upon hitting your target, that is almost like a penalty for making a direct hit. While it certainly looks cool as hell, I just wonder how it well it will work from a gameplay perspective.

That's my concern as well. It obscures so much, I can't even imagine 200 players in one base how much we just won't be able to see. Last edited by MrBloodworth; 2012-07-17 at 03:34 PM. |

I think the shots look awesome, though I see where people are coming from. I do like the idea of a lot of dust making the fight more difficult though. If I like it in practice, however, will be seen in beta.

If it gets to the point where nobody sees nothing while inside bases then they will probably have to tone it down there, but I still think extreme dustballs should appear in the desert flats outside the roads.
Just imagine the metagame with aircrafts laying down dustscreens so artillery can move into position... ahhh |
