Well that's a good starter. Looks like a crapton of customization and stats. Just the way I like it. I'ma just look through that channel some more. I think I'm leaning more towards the NC because that's what the two people I know are gonna be.

Persistant world where the battle never ends. You fight over territory, not rounds. There is emphasis on teamplay, lonewolfing will get you killed.
You can drive tanks, quadbikes, aircrafts, transport vehicles. One dropship can contain enough people to fill a normal FPS team. There is 2000 people per continent per server. One continent is 8x8km in size.

Forgelight. The night combat is so dark you actually need that night vision for a change.
And the tracerfire will make you squirt your pants.

Customization. There is all kinds of mods for every weapon in the game, and all kinds of secondary equipment to choose from as well. All weapons and armor can be decorated with camoflage in all colours.

You will fight for pride and glory for your faction, not your k/d ratio. You will experience hatred for the other side like you've never felt before. When you win back something you want to push it in their faces and rub it around. You won't know epic scale fighting until you've been in the heat of action in Planetside 2.

There is no autobalance. There are no fair fights except when everybody on the continent gets pissed off and decide to slug it out at a single point. Friendly fire is always on. It is not BF3 with more warm bodies. It is is as close as you will get to an actual goddam war, fought out in a virtual battlespace.

You will have that OMG moment where you realize this -- probably when you look out and see a courtyard full of enemies whom you are certain are all pissed off at you personally. And you look wildly around and realize that the people all around you are the only thing keeping them at bay. We all did. That's when the loyalty starts.

We still reminisce about battles that happened years ago. Name another game that gives you those sorts of memories. Strap in, indeed. You're in for one helluva ride.
