So let me get this straight. Sony is offering triple station cash...but we have no idea what the value of station cash vs game items is...

And people are stoked..

Hey I'm selling stock for Enron right now, I'll give you triple the amount to anyone that buys right now!

Now clearly it will have some actual game value vs that little comment, however, its a really dirty underhanded move by SOE to push the selling of station cash without actually sharing anything about what its value will be.

Hell, I want to get in on this deal, but the non sucker side of me, really wants to call bullshit.

SOE: Give us your money, for virtual cash, on sale today only. How much will it buy in game? Who knows? Just buy more more more to make sure you have enough.

You could always wait until they do this again sometime after release. I usually try to get in on these deals and I'm sure this won't be the last time they do it. Keep in mind that SC is used for other games as well, not just PS2 .

If you really want to maximize the station cash, buy some station cash cards at Wal-mart. With the tripling you get 6,000 cash for $15. Wal-mart has 500 bonus cash on their $15/1500 station cash cards..... It's like getting quadruple cash!

I don't believe these multiplier deals affect cards. When you buy a card, you purchase "$15" worth of SC, which will be the standard rate. If I'm wrong, please say, but I believe that is how they work.

For sure? no, but it's a safe bet that it will not triple the 4000sc you get as part of alpha squad. Imagine the uproar from those of us that bought it as soon as it came out.
