Its standard in the evening to see numbers like TR having 2-6% advantage. EDIT: But to be fair a lot of the TR on Watersom arent very good. They probably shoot straight enough but its much harder to pull a back hack or any other tactical.strategic manuver on the VS than the TR.

My outfit has rushed to an NC continent many times just to keep TR from taking the benefit from you. And, many times, I've been in 'debates' on the command channel with other VS 'commanders' about said strategy. Me: "Dude, we came here to help NC and keep TR from taking the benefit. TR have 50% global pop and are zerging the world. Could you please stop attacking NC" VS 'commander': "F#%^ You man. I don't know who the #%^& you think you are. Me and MY outfit will do whatever the #^^& we want!" |

On a single continent fight it's not a huge issue.
But when you get to all three continents at once it pretty much means we're fighting TR all the time. NC only when it gets to a 3-way and the TR are the only ones capable of holding or even taking more than one continent. So we're stuck defending Indar, maybe attacking another one with modest success and 0% pop on the third because it's TR swamped. That's not so bad...except we're always on freaking Indar and I'm kinda bored of it.

I did that everywhere during double XP But to be clear the gens are little xp - just icing on the cake. The real xp comes from destroying 3/4s of the turrets. Going for the gens alone is only worth it from the perspective of helping your side if you think thay are going to to move up. But I was referring above to cases where you are actually prepping for the main push. I did a good deal of that.

I watched something amazing last night on Waterson.
The vs had one really organized zerg. They flirted near the TR's warp gate on Indar most of the night, but, as usual, it was a damn merry-go-round. The zerg would move and conquer anything it encountered, and I would imagine there were enough defenders to satisfy this zerg as they camped from one base to another. The TR would follow behind it and recap some of those bases, and around and around we went. The vs wouldn't defend, neither would the tr as it was far easier capping empty bases. There would be, of course, a few defenders that got caught, and it's funny seeing twenty vehicles trying to pound five defenders on foot, but that's more or less what happened. I often wonder, if no one defended, if the zerg couldn't overwhelm people as there's no one there to overwhelm, would this continue? Boredom? It's already getting boring. I admit, I was happy to vehicle camp the few defenders left and it made it worthwhile to zerg cap these bases because I got easy kills. What would happen if this completely stopped? These defenders were there on accident I would imagine, for whatever reason, as the vs wouldn't defend a thing. Neither would the tr. This game needs better bases and less vehicle spam. The burden needs to be on the attackers. Bases should be force multipliers, allowing a smaller group of defenders to hold off a larger group of attackers. People would defend more if vehicle spam was eliminated and bases provided the level of protection they are supposed to. Edit: as soon as a base ran out of easy infantry to farm, I would move on, regardless of the disposition of the base. So would many others. People look for easy bases to conquer because we know it's easy pickings. We can farm relatively unscathed. Those infantry who got stuck there or went there by choice had no chance and everyone knows that. Also, I usually don't pay attention to k/d ratio, but my character's stats are going up and up. My tr character is on pace to reach 4 in a few weeks. Something is broken if I can pull that off. Vehicles are overpowered. Last edited by Beerbeer; 2013-01-03 at 11:51 AM. |

Ugh... Waterson... We the VS finally capped Esamir again and defended it against the TR zerg for hours... Then DVS decided to throw a monkey wrench in the works and tried to take indar so we had to leave esamir to defend Indar so we lost Esamir... now TR has 2 conts again... you NC know you could have capped amerish right? we wont stop you actually we usually try and help you.

This is a problem, we all know it is a problem, and I absolutely agree it has to be emphasized to the devs and fixed as soon as possible. But do you really have to shoehorn it into every post you make? Really, it has nothing to do with this thread, and it's just annoying.
On the topic of the OP, yeah, it's pretty annoying, but we can deal. I haven't fought NC (aside from a little skirmish or two, with just a few players) in a while, and I suspect many people are the same. I should also probably mention that another Youtube "celebrity" named Angry Joe is TR on Waterson, from what I've heard. That can't help. |
