Don't see why you wouldn't allow rocket launchers. If only 3 people can fire out of the sides and back of the Sunderer you wouldn't get any situation where you actually have 9 rockets firing at you, and it's a 12 person vehicle. 12 people could just as easily be pulling lightning tanks or MBTs and that would definitely give them vastly superior firepower to a Sunderer with a few rocket launchers.


If the flash had better handling and wasn't sliding all over the place it would actually be a decent vehicle. The biggest problem with the Flash as far as I can tell is simply that it slides around so much that responding to an attack with it is damn near impossible if the enemy isn't already in front of you. With the rumble seat you might have better chances. Having a Basilisk or a Fury on such a cheap vehicle is pretty good, it's just hard to make those weapons count currently.

The Cobalt needs a buff though, it's just not a really good weapon right now. There is too much stuff that vehicles can do to insta-gib infantry to even bother with a machine gun that needs a second to kill someone, and doesn't have splash damage.

That said, I'm really excited for the Flash rumble seat and I think that's an interesting mechanic to use with things like ATVs and Buggies...but maybe not necessarily every vehicle.

It makes perfect sense that people would be able to sit on a tank. You'd just be completely exposed up there, so if someone starts raking the tank with a machinegun you'll likely die. The main point of an actual transport vehicle is that it provides people with an armored compartment to fight from, not that it can somehow carry people while other vehicles can not.

Hell, our outfit uses Flashes for surprise assaults all of the time! They're a great vehicle as they's small, fast and, with turbo, get in a lot of areas that can take enemy forces off guard. Not to mention, they're a lot of fun!

I always thought it was odd that the front page of Planetside2.com has a TR infantry shooting through the glass of the Reaver(who cares how he got there!). I wish we could do that in the game. Make it happen dev's and give us a bulletproof glass cert to go with it!

Yeah, I'd much rather the Buggies be open air like the Flash then to start cutting holes in the Sunderer.

The Sunderer IS our ACP, it's just not a very good option when everyone just wants to be a tank.
Hopefully the boosted Open Season XP on Vehicles will make the Zerg think twice about running 1/2 MBTs and instead pile in for some good old fashioned Bangbus fun!
