I'm not sure it affects aiming or not, I having noticed anything. Altho, if you want I can start complaining if you want the 'myth' of complaining TR confirmed? |

Ahaha shit, taken out of context I swear.
I was used to the offset on Lightnings and we managed to screw the Vanguard turret on straight so it wasn't an issue. You must have bought your Prowler's from Ikea and stuffed up the assembly! Offset fix on the Reaver is lovely though. I suppose the banana movement doesnt hurt my aim, but it is a bit off putting? Immersion breaking? I don't know, its weird in any case. |

It's a part of the firing vehicle shots from the cam instead of the weapon. I seen it the first shot I took and fucking hate it.
What happens in game is the shot comes out of the middle you your screen but the driver sees the shot come out of the weapon to not block view. After a short bit the shot snaps to it's true path very hard. I wouldn't call it a banana, but looks like this Weapon ==} Cam l] Shot path + Air - (can't have a bunch of empty spaces) ==}+++++ l-------------+++ l]------------------++++++++ Before there was an auto convergence like how the Reaver was but not as bad. Before the patch if you took a Lightning (don't remembering seeing the same for other vehicles) and got a target closer to your cam than the weapon, your shot would fly off to the side. I did a few 45+ degree side shots in the VR from messing around. Now, you can have a pole in you face and nothing else around you and would hit the pole 100% of the time. The one thing I loved about PS2 was the fact that the player wasn't a damned floating gun. Bullets came out of the gun and you had to account for that or hit your cover. Now that vehicles don't have to worry about their weapon placement Im finding landing shots a lot harder on certain weapons. The AV wall turrets mess with me the most. I learned to coup with the offset and land shots on moving targets by watching my shots. That's how I shoot, by watching my shots and adjusting my lead based on what I see. Now with the HIGHLY distracting snapping the shot does and having to relearn how EVERY vehicle weapon works Iv been missing a lot of shots lately. I had to get back in the VR and get another feel for weapons I thought I already knew. This guy is no fan of the changes. I think is dumbs the game down and lowers the skill needed to be good. For the Reaver it's a godsend, but to have it on EVERY vehicle weapon is over kill. Id make it an ESF only thing and put all else back as they was. Why remove a skill factor from ground vehicles? It isn't like Magriders and Prowlers had trouble to start with by looking at stats. Last edited by Chewy; 2013-06-10 at 01:51 AM. |
