Looking at those images, Amerish's lattice seems to make FAR more sense than the current Indar lattice, or the one on the Esamir screenshot. It shows that Amerish was designed with actual geographical features and lanes of movement for ground troops, unlike the white open waste of Esamir or the big square pizza with 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/2 topping regions that is Indar. Except for the canyon part, Indar is pretty much free roaming, as is Esamir everywhere. So any lattice on them will feel artificial, because it can not follow the geographic obstacles if there are none. I so hope we will get a continent with islands and real water and a lot of bridges one day, that works like the PS1 continents, and was designed with lattice in mind from the very start.

But yeah, Amerish will be even better now. |

A *couple* of those could add serious spice to the mix. It'd turn any given base into freaking Iwo Jima, just by drawing a few lines on the map.

Of course they're different. Each continent has a different number of bases and those bases are in different locations. Just follow the lattice links and you'll notice that they match the current hex adjacency. The same lattice structure for Esamir and Amerish was on the PTS before the Indar went Live, but they disabled them when the GU was released. The bug on Live really is just the current hex adjacency in lattice link form. It's not "the future", it's the present. |
