So Platoons in the expansion?

Altough I have no reasion to belive that Platoons will only be available from the expansion, I do know that SoE pulled this stunt before with the Planes of Power expansion for EQ. They brought in raid exp, where every member in the raid got the exp from all kills made by the raid. But you only got it if you bought the PoP expansion. To make matters worse if you didnt have the expansion, you couldnt join a Raid group.

This isolated so many players due to not having the PoP expansion is was sickning.

While i have never has a problem buying an expansion pack for a game, I honestly feel that PS is far to new to be even thinking of an expansion for it. Also if any of the items that were promised to be added to the game like the Lodestar, platoons and various other extra's, I will quit the game.

I have no problem buying a PS expansion in generial for new content, but I will hold the devs to their word on what they have promised us via free download so far.

Yeah, it's a confirmed fact a exp pack is in the works. Nice to see they have they're priorities straight. This game isn't worth the 13 bucks a month alone, much less another 30-40 dollar expansion. Let's look at their track record, hmm 3 months and 2 vehicles, 134 new bugs, and a BS CTF system that proves they don't have a goal for PS. GG, here's my mastercard.

Yep. I'm already on the absolute verge of deciding the game isn't worth another monthly $13 to play, they're on crack if they think I'm dishing for an expansion no matter what they put into it right now.

I think the idea for new continents was discussed in bit back in the official forums, with something along the lines of that map we're seeing isn't exactly all of the planet... but only half of it. What explanation they'll offer as to why we're restricted on this side only? Who knows. Perhaps there're no connecting warp gates, and those valiant souls who cough up the cash can ride a HART to the other side and do battle over there...

Bah... way to isolate the casual gamer. At least with a SWG expanation, it'll take the game into a totally different mode of game play that isn't already available.
