Just my 2 cent, but the DE .50 blows. It is the least practical gun ever. It kicks like a mule. My uncle had one and hes a gun freak, and he got rid of it cause it's worthless other than in the movies. He's a big damn dude and it took him an ass ton of time to reaquire target. IMO the best caliber is .40, all the stopping power you need with minimal kick. IT'S badass.

It's a blast, literally. I used to carry it before I had all the work done to it. The rig to wear it is complex; it takes a bit of engineering to spread the weight out so that it's wearable all day long.
The kick is a little harsh at first, but its something you get used to. Probably the next thing I will do is get the barrel ported to help reduce that. I'd never carry it now, it's pretty much been retired to the target range and the occasional field hunt. I think my next purchase will probably be a Glock 30. Unless I can find an AUG at the right price... but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

I don't like glocks either. I guess we don't have similar gun tastes. I'm a HK and Kimber man. Nothings better than a fast Kimber 1911.
