Definatly Jen. No histerics. Pointed something out that was completly random. Obviously didnt make Hamma panic untill she got him right were she wanted him. Could have washed off the blood.

If Hamma died at around 8:20 and was stabbed 10 mins prior to his death, he should have been attacked at 8:10, which at that time both Chewy and Sputty was cleaning the tv room where Hamma was in. Strange.

But Dharkbane said himself that it takes him 10 mins to get to the slopes. Yet, he left shortly after 7:55 when SDM left to buy his snacks. If Dharkbane went directly to the slopes at that time, he should have entered the slopes and his ticket punched in at around 8:05 to 8:10 but his ticket clearly shows 8:20 leaving at 8:30. That means it would have took him 20 mins to reach the slopes, doubling the time where he said earlier that it only takes him 10. If Dharkbane used that time when he supposely left and murdered Hamma from the window at close to 8:10, it can be that he left for the slopes soon after and punched in at 8:20, 10 mins after the crime scene. He could have then used the other 10 mins to clean up and left the slopes at 8:30 arriving a little over 10 mins back to the lodge at 8:41.
But Hamma had to have been dead at 8:10 where we know Sputty and Chewy where there cleaning up the room at that time. It must be that Hamma was dead while both of the cleaners presumed he was eating while watching the soaps. So if this is the case, someone had to have moved him later on in the night to make it look like he was robbed. That may explain the dry blood marks next to the dinner plate while the rest of the silverware was separated from it. That's my deduction on it. Now I'm not sure who actually moved Hamma. If Dharkbane was the only one involved, he would have that extra minute from earlier to change the crime scene, but how could he have been able to clean himself up in under a minute? Perhaps there is an accomplice??

If that's not right, at least I hope it was interesting. Detective Conan is awesome btw, unfortunately I missed that episode though. "Nexxt Hinnt!"

EDIT: It may well be SDM since he does have more leeway due to time in his alibi though I find Dharkbane's suspicious because his ticket alibi does have some holes. It may well be his downfall. Also, Hamma may not have been dead right at 8:10 but was dying. That's probably why he was gagged and his lungs pierced so he wouldn't make a big commotion.

Well, this topic has reached the point of no return, the point where no one else posts, so I might as well post the end of the story.

"I know who the killer was!"

"Really. Then enlighten us. Who was the killer?" SDM inquired.

"Simple. Everyone in here is suspicious, except for Sputty, as he was with me the entire time. He did leave for about 3 minutes, but there was no way he had enough time to kill Hamma.

"Jenny's alibi was that she was taking a bath. Unfortunately, this isn't a very strong alibi, as it is very simple to sneak out of the bathroom, as it's on the first floor and leave the door locked. Also, taking a bath is a great way to get rid of any DNA evidence linking to you.

"Then there's SDM. SDM claimed that he went to the store,"

"I DID go to the store," SDM interrupted.

"It looks like you did, but look at what you're missing. Celery and ice cream. Everything else you brought was non-perishable, and could have been easily brought with you in your luggage. Celery would spoil, and Ice Cream would melt in luggage.

"And the final suspect, Dharkbayne."

"I think you've lost it, Chewy. I was at the slopes, remember? I have the ski ticket right here..."

"Dharkbayne looks like he's in the clear, but his alibi isn't foolproof. His ticket only has the month and day, but it never states the year. If Dhark had premeditated this a year earlier, he could have gotten the ticket last year, and simply kept it until today."

"Oh good job, Chewy," Jennyboo said sarcastically, "you've narrowed down the suspects from 4 to 3."

"But have I? There's one thing the killer missed. Hamma knew who the killer was, so he left us a clue.

"Look at the silverware around the table. When Sputty and I entered here at 8:10, Hamma was eating dinner. His silverwear included a bowl of soup, a dish, a martini glass, a knife, and a spoon.

"Of course, the question is, where is this all going? Well, if you notice, every piece of silverwear besides the spoon, the dish, and the martini glass are all very close to the table, but those three specific utensils are much farther away, lying on the nearby sofa.

"So what does this mean? Hamma left us a clue. If you will, Sputty, could you take the spoon, dish, and martini glass and put them where they used to be on the table? Match them up with the blood clots."

Sputty did what he was told, and picked up the three pieces of silverwear back on the table, matching them up with the dried up blood clots.

"Where the hell is this all leading? what does it matter where they were?" demanded Dharkbayne.

"Hamma knew the identity of his murderer, and as it took him a fairly long time for him to die, he left us a crpytic clue. Think about the the first letter of each of those pieces of silverwear."

30 seconds later, every person in the room was glaring at SDM.

"Oh... come on. You can't possibly believe that just because a spoon, a dish, and a martini glass were left on the table that I was the killer?!"

"That would normally be true, but you recognized Hamma's clue! You came here to discover the body so that Sputty could determine the time of death, so that your alibi would work. However, when you realized Hamma's clue, you quickly swept away the three pieces of silverwear so that no one would get the clue!"

"SDM... you didn't..."

"... I... I did... he... he had it coming... I had to..."

So there you have it. This topic did much better than I expected it to, so once I finish my second unique story, I'll post it here. Mystery stories are very hard to write, and it's very hard to keep it interesting. I have much more respect for the writers of Detective Conan than when I started.
