Sorry I can't help it:
But is a Hippocritacle some kind of radioactive Hippopotamus that's about to melt down and explode? Anywho, I understand what peace wants to say and do and how he feels about it. He however has our culture's symbology against him.

Actually razor, most of the people on this board know my true colors. I am a giant egotistical, redneck, egotistical, workaholic, egotistical, asshole. Did I mention egotistical? Anyone who has gamed with me for a period of time or talked to me on TS might call me racist. I let it slide cause I don't care.
If I shout white pride in the mall I get called a racist. If a black person shouted it all the other black people would shout and no one would say anything. If I call a black person a ****** I get called a racist. If a black person calls me a cracker, hes not a racist. African American History month? Wheres my White American history month? Oh I'm sorry, thats racist. I guess its also racist in your eyes when one black person calls another ******. Oops, its ok, they are both black. Why? Because "******" does not mean "black". The meaning of the word has changed. I do not "float" the term ******. I use it when it is damn well deserved and even then very sparingly because of the hate mongering it brings up. Please do not call me a "minority" if you think I am racist. Unfortunately racism is alive and kicking. Its very much part of the country. Its also on both sides of the fence (read Afirmitive Action). And your comment about the stars and bars? Your entitled to what ever opinion you might posses, because we live in America. So am I. In my mind, that flag is just as a part of America as my States flag, I do however think the American flag IS the most important flag, however America is made up of all flags. Thats the whole god damn point, and if you dont get that, you dont get America. One last thing, I think a lot of people on this bored would probably agree with me on a few points. Though I suck at drawing out ideas in my head to paper like this. They probably dont share all the same ideas and opinions to the same extent as I, but Ill bet a bottle of booze that they see where I am coming from and dont find my opinions racist, or outrageous. Remembering the Civil Rights Movement is very important. I think it's inspiring to everyone to see how so many people actually got out and did something to change a very unjust system. And a bit of food for thought: Think about the standard history you learn in school. It really only follows the history of white western civilization (the only non-western civ. it puts forth are those that western civ. evolved from; mesopotamian things ect.) That's all well and good considering most of us come from that background. However, a very sizable portion of our population doesn't come from those back grounds. The only thing we learn about our African decended citizens' heritage is that they came from Africa.

Peace, as far as I know aside from black history month... every god damn other month is white history month.
To be honest. Back in high school I learned more about my Irish history then African-American history... So yeah...

And to say the American flag is made up of other flags is nonsense. Yes, this country is made up of many different ethnicities. But America is a oasis of sorts. One that many people can come to and feel welcome. Yes, our government needs changes, and yes, the people need to stand up for them. But people like you who blur the lines cause the divide. I think in terms of one. One world. One people. America is all about one. At least the original constitution was. Enveloping all. All incorporated. How about this, since what I say is so outrageous... Stop using the N word. I'm not black. But I understand where they come from. I also understand how hard it has been for them. It goes way deeper than a flag. Throwing around the word "******" (along with that flag) means hate no matter what you say. If you have any respect for America as a whole you will erase that word from your vocabulary. Otherwise your only a minority. Most Americans don't tolerate discrimination. That's why it came into law. And if this is about a word....have some human respect and stop saying it. Because until you do, your only saying a word to envoke hate, and black people have only embraced it for that reason. |
