I second the idea of motorcycles (tron bikes for vanu...) over hoverboards.
As long as it requires a skill slot to use, and you must get it from a vehicle terminal. Way cooler than the stealth quad. Nuff said. Also less memory for the animation because it can be completely still. Hoverboard would require a balancing animation, and you'd look dumb if you get shot and remain on the board. |

I feel that this idea sounds pants on head retarded. Personal opinion. Just visually, I mean. Like future warfare as imagine by an 8 year old on a candy high. Not taking any balance considerations into account.

Mechs are equally retarded from a realism perspective as well as from a balance perspective (to be fair, I think you could find a balanced niche for both mechs and hoverboards, but you would have to try harder than is probably worth it). On the other hand, as silly as mechs are, I feel like they would still be less silly in a battlefield situation than hoverboards would be.
