Bit too small, not a fan of the blue monochrome, and I don't like how everything is 'realistically' slanted like its projected onto something. Its a GUI. We all know what it is. It doesn't need to be made less functional as a result of a failed attempt to RP it in by pretending a bad engineer designed the projection but was too incompetent to get it to project straight.

Otherwise yeah I'd really like to have the mini zoomed out a little more and the size of the box increased a bit too, like 20% each. |

I find it to be an annoying attempt to introduce immersion where none has ever been needed before. We survived countless games before where the stuff on the GUI wasn't stylishly slanted so it could look like a poorly engineered visor. All the sudden its become an OMG SO REAL fad with new FPSs(hilariously, even FPSs without the requisite technology to make such a projection possible).
I really hope its toggleable. Last edited by CutterJohn; 2012-05-08 at 07:12 AM. |

As long as it performs its core functionality of telling me where I am and where other things are that are near me at a glance, I'm cool with it
I like the fact that it's meant to be images projected onto a visor display. That's cool and right up to date with what tech people are trying to achieve now with augmented reality. In the vehicles, the maps and other data look to be off the visor and onto MFDs, so you get a sense of things being different depending on what you're riding in and what information it needs to convey. Also, it opens it up for UI customization options too - basic free stuff like moving shit around, and maybe bought stuff like new themes. Obviously anything that actually gave you more info/advantage would need to be purchasable for in-game resources, same as anything else. Cash for cosmetics. |

Customizable would be good.
Half of these features I wouldn't mind even if they were the default option, as long as there was a (free) option to change them to something better. - projected mini map - /on/off/ - mini map style - /monochrome/color/ And all will be right with the world. |
