If current subscribers was 500-1000 thats completely do-able but I've seen nothing but people posting about how they bought/resub'd these last few days following smeds statement.

Lets just say the # doubled and there are now 2000 current sub's (This number could be even higher I have no clue). Do you believe SOE will invited all of them on day 1?

Discuss.

EDIT: this is still based on the fact i'm assuming there is still only 1 US and 1 EU testing servers. (6000 people max)
I doubt it. PS1 still has no poplocks even with the incentive for people to activate to get into PS2.

No news, words or client, proably another delay or a very shitty beta with very small number of players.
Calm down private, Smedley said today.

I realize this i was playing earlier but there are a large number of people with active subscriptions that do not play the game.

Happen to have access to PS1's player database do you Minigun?

IMO I doubt that the number of people paying and not playing is larger than the number of people paying and playing this weekend. So double the amount of peak users this weekend and you have a ballpark number of people subbed to PS1 currently.

I do not unfortunately. It's just something that's been hanging in the back of my mind.

In all honesty you could be absolutely right. I was just curious about how each of you felt on the subject.

I would imagine there will be more servers, because they'll be wanting to test hardware they'll be using at launch?

Moreover, even if there are 2000 people due to be let in based purely on the active subs (I suspect it'll be much higher than that) apart from an initial big attempt to log in, not everyone will be online 24/7?

To fill a 6k server, which I imagine they want to try and do to really stress test it, they'll need a lot of potential people. Some folks might be getting an email but have no interest in beta testing as well.

All kinds of things. However, I don't see them staggering the initial wave, I suspect they have capacity and then some to fit us all in.

This post is unusually optimistic for me, wondering if I'm coming down with something.

The subscription cut-off is in about 15.5 hours.

Beta starts 6 hours after that.

The wait is about 21.5 hours.

Keep busy or go crazy.
