I've been weapon locked numerous times, each as a result of other people crossing my LOF for no other reason then to get that all important kill.
That said if you got rid of friendly fire think of the implications that would have on doorway defending. It's a mechanic that needs to remain in game to prevent stupidity. |

The problem is not normal, weapons-based friendly fire, the problem in the game is so much as a tap to an idiot who runs in front of your tank results in you being penalized.
I propose that the guy who runs into a tank and dies is awarded some, if not as many, grief points as the tank driver. If you were to run into a busy street like an idiot and got run over, the cops would tell you it was your own damn fault. I believe this is the only way to force not just tankers to watch out but idiot infantry too. |

I think FF has its place but you get these kill hungry noobs that love to get point blank range on the target. So those of use utilizing cover eat the FF points. I can control my fire but I can't control stupid.
