However, you need space for the OS, AV and anything else and I think for swap space for your graphics card. Somewhere I recall CyclesMcHurtz saying that 8Gb was the sweet spot, or something similar. |

Yeah, its limited. I plan on upgrading my laptop to the 32Gb it can hold (4 slots in my lenovo thinkpad workstation) because I'm a mechanical engineer, and run a lot of CAD software. Extra RAM can help with those projects a lot.

It's not about how good your computer is, this game can't handle full servers. On any given night I have great performance but last weekend on Mattherson, when the server was approaching full, things started to break down. Healing and ammo supply was delayed by several seconds, hit detection resulted in many more mutual killings and flak guns also stopped working which is usually a sign of severe server lag to me.
Yeah, we have hit the limit of current server technology. As time goes on and they get better servers, over the years it will get better, but right now we are as far as we can go and the servers can barely even handle this level when truly pushed. |
