You've gotta be fucking kidding me.... This one NC guy flying around like Bruce Willis in Die Hard 9, killing everything and dying and completing his spawn mission... Really... Oh, and then the VS scum knifing him and then posing like Charlies Fucking Angels with more VS shit in the background that we will never, ever, never see..... EVER... See, this type of shit will make me accidentally bitch slap a motherfucker with a Michigan or Prince shirt on... Just saying... They make me hate them more when they do this stuff....
"Why do you say these things, when you know I will kill you for it...." Zod from Superman the original movie... Phew.... I have paused.... |

That was pretty awesome to watch.
The TR definitely got the short end of the stick on that one, but I think that in the long run the TR always benefit from being portrayed as the stereotypical bad guys. TR players tend to either like playing the bad guys, like playing the people mistaken for bad guys, or just like the weapons or militaristic theme of the TR regardless of public perception. The NC are probably the faction that needs to be overtly sold as being heroic the most. Like with the TR, some will join NC for their weapons or their duct tape style, but the rest will come because they've got myopic views on good guys and bad guys, and need somebody to shove a default hero in their face to let them know which side it's okay to root for, even if the reality is that the NC are just as bad as anyone else. And the VS were perfectly represented in the trailer IMO. While the TR still did get shafted a little even if it's probably in their best interest to be portrayed slightly badguy-esque, no such shafting occurred with the Vanu Sovereignty, despite our short amount of screen time. The best way I can state it is that if I hadn't played the original Planetside and was just starting to take an interest in Planetside 2, this trailer would have made me want to join the VS. The trailer misrepresents the game a little by taking a few liberties here and there, and it doesn't fully capture some of the true feeling of the game, but it really doesn't have to. It's an awesome to watch well made video which will draw people in to find out more about the game. It will put the game on peoples radar, even if they never bother to check it out until 6 months after the game launches. A trailer like this can do nothing but good for the game, especially considering that the game is F2P. Very cool. I wonder if we'll get any more of these? Doing another one around the time of open beta or launch would seem to make a lot of sense. Maybe that one could show of the TR a little more, even if it still portrayed them slightly more like bad guys still. |

I care.... Or I would not comment.... Gee, I'm sorry... Is it wrong to have a passionate response to something...??? Even a video game....??? I'm offended that as TR your not offended...
Honestly... Who the hell doesn't care...? |

It's a great trailer.
It's conveys FPS excitement, dramatic struggle, and action packed vehicular combat. There are TR, NC, and VS colors represented throughout the video if you pay attention to detail. Anyone who bases thier opinion of a game based solely on a CG trailer is ignorant of the way advertising works. If it wasn't a good trailer then we wouldn't be here talking about it, building the hype, and generating new interest in the game, which is the purpose of the trailer in the first place. |

absolutely epic trailer but it could have been done alot better,
Firstly, all three factions could have been represented (and most of the classes for that matter) had they done a "bigger fish in the pond" concept whereby you could start with the LA, he gets killed by a TR HA, he gets killed by a vanu sniper, sniper gets killed by a NC reaver, TR AA MAX unit shoots that down, max gets run over by lightening etc. Secondly, this method could have allowed for more gameplay shown rather than stunts |

There were not many aspects of Planetside's gameplay.
It didn't show the full power of a few Gals dropping people in like in planetside 1 videos.
