8 Races, and 4 classes to each race. Also, this is the part I like the most, the quest system isn't like anything else that's come before it. You don't have to be in a 40 man raid to do big things. If say a world spawn boss pops, everyone gets credit for it that fights it, not just those in the raid. All the fighting is geared around the Realm Vs Realm. Some of the first quests you get in the game, are say, to assault a town, slaughter the villagers, then toss their heads over into the enemy camp with a catapult. I like that.

There will be some un-instanced PvP but it won't really effect the game that much. The big capture points and the capital sieging will all be instanced. Once the siege is over the PvP goes back to be open ended. But by the time the siege is over and the gates are busted open it's pretty much a slaugter fest and not really a war. This bummed me out soo much.

I went and looked at the warhammer website since I was bored, not like Id ever buy any mmo ever anyway but thought Id look. Seems a bit better than most but I dunno, pretty vague details on the site and not a big class list. Looks better than WoW I guess but to me Diablo2 looks more fun than WoW lmao

Well, I think you are mis reading it, I think the instanceing will be on level restrictions more so then "small BG's" from wha tI understand it will eb large zones, just level restricted to keep ganking down.

Armed Assault. I'm playing the demo until I can get my hands on a copy of the US version, even though it's a buggy piece of shit.
The satisfaction of being on a good team playing CTF and working together to ambush a convoy coming back with the flag is just AWESOME. |

Madden 07
Halo 2 Gears of War once I get back to college and hook up XBL. Other than that, I finally got rid of WoW for good (account is gone ) and I have officially given up on Planetside after giving it a few days of retry. I'm looking forward to a few nondescript Xbox games, maybe Warhammer or Darkfall since both look cool, and perhaps Crysis if my computer can run it. |

I'm really needing a new game to play. Not an MMO, I already have a few of those. I'm talking some awesome epic singleplayer games, like Oblivion (uninstalled from my computer and deleted the .iso, so I can't play the new expansion), or something like that. I'm psyched for Spore and Assasin's Creed, and Project Offset whenever it comes out.
I was looking into Gothic 3. Supposedly it's like Oblivion, only better, except you need a beastly gaming rig to play it, and it's fairly buggy. Eh, not like I'm going to pay for it anyways :P Edit: While browsing through some sites, I came across a game called WarRock. It's a cross between BF2, Counterstrike, and some Unreal Tournament. It looks pretty cool, and is currently in open beta if anyone wants to try it.

EVE, but mostly X3: Reunion right now, since I'm taking a short break from EVE.
X3: Reunion is sorta like an offline version of EVE, with great graphics and a pretty terrible user interface. Nothing is intuitive about the controls, and takes a lot of getting used to, but it makes up for it by being beautiful and twitch combat, even with large ships. Smaller fighter ships only have forward-firing weaponry, and obviously move pretty quick, and is very much like playing Freespace, the space fighter sim that is one of my favorite games I've ever played. With larger ships, it can be cumbersome to move about, but you can control fleets of smaller ships under AI control, you have a monster ship which has huge forward-firing guns as well as some pretty awesome turrets with firing arcs to cover yourself versus smaller ships that you can't swing around on to bring your main guns to bear. You can also hop in any of your normally AI controlled turrets if you want to get personal. You can also dock fighters, fit each and every ship under your command (which DOES get a little bit insane with micro-management), and set up huge factory complexes and trade routes while you fight pirates and enemy alien invasions. There is also a pretty good spread of different ships to fly. I think the most fun about it is when you're fighting pirates, if you hit them hard and fast enough, they'll sometimes panic and eject from their ship, pleading for their lives. If you can avoid destroying the ship, you can capture it, and then either repair and refit it to fly alongside you as an escort or wingman, or sell it so you can buy even bigger guns for your own ship. Pretty sweet. The game is available on Steam for about $20, but like I said, with a pretty terrible game control scheme (at least combat is pretty straightforward), it can be tricky to figure out. You definitely need to read the manual if you're going to have any idea how to play. It's good if you want to get an EVE-like fix without the corp responsibilities, and a more fast-paced twitch style of combat. Last edited by Electrofreak; 2007-01-08 at 10:09 PM. |

I went out and bought Gothic 3 two days ago, been playing it almost non-stop since.
If you can get around the buggyness, and have a decent to high-end machine to run it on, it's one awesome game. Definately better than Oblivion in terms of gameplay and depth. Had tons of fun with it so far, and I'm not anywhere near close to completing it.
