Number 2 would be splash AoE/damage, especially from MBTs and rocket pods. Hopefully the forthcoming blast radius nerf will help to make this more tolerable; and force tank gunners / ESF pilots to work a bit harder for their easy mode kills. |

Agreed.

ROCKET PODS!!!!!! Seriously though, even after how many nerfs? 3? 4? Dual Photon Pods/Rocket Pods etc. are still op in the hands of a master ESF pilot. I use them daily. Hoping they are never nerfed again. Doesn't mean I agree they belong in the game however.

I'd have to the most OP weapons in the game are the anti-armor secondaries on the tanks as they effectively almost double the dps against vehicles. Secondaries to an IRL tank are never AV weapons and instead are defensive weapons against air/soft targets.
My 150mm HEAT cannon should hit much much harder than an 85mm heat round delivered by an enforcer but it doesn't. |

Yeah, I don't really understand all the Prowler-hate. When I am going up against a vanguard with HE I tend to insta-die as well unless he hasn't seen me yet. Lightnings not so much for some reasons, but those're lightnings. But really, what do you expect if you are an infantryman trying to take on a tank? |

It's just at a point where it seems that those people still complaining aren't concerned about not being given proper tools to deal with air, but simply don't want to deal with it at all. Yesterday TR was kicking our ass all night with a huge air zerg, at least 30 Mosquitos, 5, 6 Liberators at all times. We couldn't get any air up ourselves, our ground forces were getting rocketed all the time, tanks were impossible to move around, so after getting beaten back again and again this giant group moves on the crown. We put the call out to pull AV Mana turrets and Burster Maxes, and people lined up at least a dozen Manas and Bursters on the landing pads on the crown. This huge enemy air squadron moves in, and just melts in this awesome shitstorm of bullets. It was like someone had opened the Lost Ark. Utter devastation, it took maybe 30 seconds to destroy every last aircraft they had, and their tanks faired no better when all the AV Manas opened up, in another maybe 5 minutes a huge force of Prowlers was reduced to slag and ruins. They eventually pulled a lot of snipers and started pegging the Engineers, but the damage was done, the back of their force was broken and they didn't recover from that all night. The point being: People who whine about air should spend more energy on killing it and less energy on complaining about it. It really isn't hard. In fact, an organized air defense pretty much gives aircraft no chance whatsoever to fight back. Last edited by Rothnang; 2013-03-12 at 08:40 PM. |
