Was mainly thinking sort of that you could get some universal type thing that would boost all damage output and reduce damage intake, like it was in APB. But yeah, I don't mind if it comes through deep specialisation, as long as it's not like "gratz, u got BR25, now you get this implant that makes you deal 10% more damage on all weapons!" However, in long term, they did say that you can basically have all certs (given that you have the time), meaning that several years from the release we're gonna have vets that are deeply specialized in so many things that they will basically have that 20% boost in many things, effectively making them have that 20% extra performance no matter what they do and that really isn't fun for the new guy. There may be a lot of people who want to be commanders, but its probably going to take a decent amount of squad leading to get there. The weak ones will be weeded out, while the better commanders will rise to the top. All I know is its going to be lonely for me on top for a month or so... seeing as I'll be the first highest ranking commander for the TR on my server, probably even in the game.

If they do decide to go with the EVE model and just keep upgrading the game then that could, eventually, become a problem, but I expect they'll figure something out if the system hasn't changed between now and release. |

I am all for high risk / high reward in FPS (like low armor but high mobility) so I am really curious what they will do with those jumpjets and the vertical gameplay.. could see my role fitting into a specialist task force behind enemy lines / very mobile tank hunters or smuffins..

I assume dmg increases happen pretty high up the skill tree, so people may not get there in beta unless they provide an accelerated skill gain for testing purposes.

In all seriousness? If I can get away with huge Outfit Leader stats and then like...one really awesome weapon. I might try that. I'm really interested in how they're going to implement the outfit skill tree, would love to see that leaked sometime soon. |

No, but seriously, we are all just speculating here. (Very light armored infantry with AV weapons would be pretty rad though.. if the tank so much as looks at you you're dead, but you got your jumpjets ) |
