Yeah no shops carry PC Gamer here and I don't blame them because it's £6...... Only bought copies for the PS keys, would never pay £6 for a mag.... £3 is my limit.

I am no veteran, and i can't find PCGamer in my country. I don't tweet or facebook...
I think I was among the first ones to apply for a beta key when SOE opened the inscriptions but I have little hope to enter the closed Beta..
From what i understood, closed beta will last only 2 to 3 weeks (E3 intel, correct me if I am wrong), so the waiting should be short..

You can buy the UK PC Gamer digitally. You won't get the key immediately, but if you email them with proof of purchase, they will send you one.

You realize that by doing that - when all PS1 accounts are supposed to be guaranteed to get in - you're going to wind up crowding out other people with your junk accounts (it's not like you'll be playing more than one, is it?) unless the devs spot them and either block them for being duplicates, or account for them being unused later.

Waste of keys, too, as the PS2 staff have said all PS1 players will get in and get priority over everyone but PC Gamer key owners, from what I recall (which is to say, IIRC they have the same priority, for some reason).

I have a twitter key on my account, and now these new PC Gamer magazine keys are coming out, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they're going to get into the beta before I do, despite that I registered my key first? (Not that I want to sound entitled for actually managing to get one of the publicly posted twitter keys, when PS1 players have been subscribing for years (assuming they don't just have an account from when it was temporarily free))

The last time I had a subscription to PCGamer must've been 10 years ago. Why don't I anymore? I play more console games than PC games, and reviews are available on the Interweb.

Of course, to be honest, it would be nice to have some kind of invite system (not using facebook) if closed beta lasted any substantial amount of time.
