If the PS dev team added jetpacks it would just be a beefed up version of tribes, get over it buddy, wait for the next tribes, i certainly wont. |

if you bothered reading what i said you would realize i was speaking about one type of "class"
not everyone would have jetpacks and they would have to sacrifice armor or something for the extra maneuverability. it would add some depth. remove your head from your ass.

I have my head up my ass how? You are the one continually posting about how the dev team should include jetpacks (to make it more similar to one game), and saying that it is the same as every other game on the market, where really, PS is a new idea, Sure FPS is a popular genre, same with MMORPG's but to combine the two into a feasable game is amasing.

like i said. not throughout the whole game. just one class.
and the FPS part ofPS is just like 95% of the other FPS on the market. and combining FPS/MMORPG has already been done. and its quite fun. i dont think its been done on such a large scale with so many different classes and customizations per se...and thats cool. so yes you still have your head in your ass if you still dont realize this

whoracle, by your idea, it would really be that all FPSs are the same.
every fps has the fundamentals, a weapon, and a first person view, and im sure every FPS u walk around and harm your enemies, most of the weapons probly firing a projectile. how do jetpacks make it anything new and novel? what, they provide transportation and fast action? well, we already have vehicles like the skeeter to serve the purpose of transportation and weapons platforms, and as far as action, the action will be as fast as the devs want it, which looks like its just fast enough to be fun and slow enough to allow for strategy. so stop whining about how the game is |

I can understand your concerns, although I would like to ask you why, exactly, we need a jetpack when we have VTOL aircraft? This is an honest question, as I am attempting to make this "session" somewhat productive. You stated that the speed would be useful in taking out incoming aircraft, and in order to gain this ability, you would have to sacrifice defense. I have played tribes before, I know how the jetpacks there work, and I understand why you say it takes more skill, because in the end it does. (comparing shooting two ground only people to two people w/ jetpacks) But one thing at a time. What is it that jetpacks would do that aircraft can not?
