I'll write next chapter soon, school just started up again and teachers are hounding us good. I've got mad ideas swirling in my head for endings/battles etc. I'm looking for this to continue for a good while. newho just figured i'd give it a bump and let yall know im not gone.

Alright over a week since last chapter.

Unfortuantely as soon as I began the whole Black Knight saga, i realized that i have indeed left a gigantic plot hole. I hope this doesn't take away from the story any, so here's the new version of chapter 2 (continued/2nd part, the VR room w/e)

That night Lance met Gamma in the VR room as planned. Gamma wasted no time. "Your first test will be a live combat simulator. Your mission is to kill the 5 AI bots inside the maze. Your weapon will be a cycler. You must kill all 5 and exit the maze in 15 minutes or less. Good luck." Lance felt himself plunge into a dark room, and then lights went on. He picked up a cycler on the ground and began to run towards the first passage. As he turned the corner an NC was waiting on the other side. Lance rolled to miss the first two shots of the gauss rifle, and scored four hits on the soldier, dropping him instantly. Lance trudged to the next corner. He swung around, but this time nothing waited for him. He walked up to another door and hacked it. Inside was an equipment terminal and a table. Lance looked around, but saw nothing. He could hear one thing however, the slight chirp of an REK at the terminal. He switched on his darklight just in time to see an infiltrator change into MAX armor. Lance, equipped with only a cycler began to open fire. The MAX charged at him. Lance moved like a fox, swiftly and agilely, making his way to the equipment terminal. He purchased a decimator just as shotgun ammo slammed into the terminal. He strafed and fired two shots downing the max. He moved on. The next room contained the final 3 enemies. A furious fire fight broke out. Even with their jackhammers and superior numbers, the AI bots were no match for Lance. He downed each of them within only 2 minutes, and emerged from the maze with a solid 5 minutes remaining. Gamma was very impressed. The rest of the exercises consisted of sneaking into an enemy spawn tube, racing his Wraith across the continent, flying a technical course in a mosquito and hotdropping onto targets from a galaxy. All of these were passed with flying colors. Lance came out of the last mission and Gamma immediately saluted the young soldier. "Your results were incredible. You fought like a seasoned veteran. However, there is one more task I wish you to take." As he said these words, a very tall, strong man walked to his side. "This is Cease. He is my second in command of 7th Legion. I consider him my personal bodyguard and my best soldier. I want you two to fight in the VR room. Cease will use a mini chaingun, you can use whatever weapon you like." Cease smiled a somewhat arrogant smile, and then entered the VR room. Lance hesitated for a moment and then followed suit. The dark room of nothingness suddenly came to life. He was inside the spawn room of a base. A voice came from nowhere, it was Gamma's. "Cease is at the south tower. Try and kill him." Lance selected his weapon, a cycler, and then dashed off towards the back door. He crept around the base silently, until he caught sight of the tower. He figured Cease wouldn't be much on stealth, and would try to outgun Lance. Lance knew his skills weren't as perfected as Cease's, so to win he would have to use stealth. He crawled through the tall grass, inching closer and closer to the tower. Then he heard the heavy footsteps of two boots. He peered out to confirm his suspicions. Cease was gazing around, his chaingun ready to spew out bullets. Lance aimed at his head, and prepared to squeeze the trigger. Suddenly Cease broke to the ground, and did a roll. Lance opened fire, missing Cease. Cease began cranking out bullets from his MCG, with Lance dodging them. One stray bullet hit his leg, causing him to trip. He rolled over to a rock, where he attempted to toss a grenade. But the grenade was shot in mid air, spewing plasma down onto Lance. He rolled around crazily, trying to put out the burning, but suddenly felt a hard object strike him in the face. It was Cease's boot. He pointed his MCG at Lance's face, and squeezed the trigger.
The next thing he knew, Lance was back in the VR entrance. "Well you did pretty good Lance, considering Cease is my best soldier." Cease smiled an easy going smile and gave Lance a wink. "And based on your results in the other missions, I am honored to invite you into 7th Legion," said Gamma. "All you need now is a codename." "KiKiNCHiKiN," responded Lance. "Very well. I look forward to seeing your progress KiKiNCHiKiN." And with that he departed.

That's the new version of that chapter. And doh i have to go now. Sorry was going to write the new one, but no time. I'll post it tomorrow most likely.

Chapter 10: Old Friends

"Cease???" said Lance in an unbelieving tone. The black knight was taken aback when he heard this. "What did you call me?" "I.. I can't believe it! It is Cease!!" shouted Maverick. The black knight stood stunned for a moment, pearing into the eyes of Lance. "Lance?" he squeeked out in a very soft tone. For the first time in over 2 years, the black knight smiled.

"WTF knight go ahead and kill these fools!" shouted a Vanu soldier. Cease turned toward them and just shook his head. "This man was in my outfit. There will be no killing of them. "Look. We paid you to take this base and kill anything not painted purple. YOU'RE NOT LIVING UP TO THE BARGAIN!!!" "I'm sorry but I cannot do it." "Fine. I will!!!!!" The soldier aimed down his pulsar, but didn't even get a shot off before a bullet became lodged in his neck. "KILL HIM!!!!!!!!!!" shouted the Vanu commander. "Run!!! I'll hold them off! Go Lance!!!!" shouted Cease as he dove behind a nearby box. Lance's crew dashed off while firing shots. Lance stood still, fire zipping by his ears. Finally Bismarck grabbed his arm and tugged him away. "CEASE!!!" Cease stepped out from behind the box, wielding his dual MCG's and began blazing. Soldiers dropped right and left. Bullets went everywhere. But he couldn't take them all. Pulses slammed into his chest, burning through his armor. He howled in pain but continued to pump away. Punisher rockets slammed into his arm, while buckshot from a sweeper shotgun landed squarely in his chest. The rest of the crew turned down the corridor, Bismarck trying to get Lance away. The last thing Lance saw as he was finally yanked behind the corner was a stray bullet go through Cease's chest and out the other side. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" Cease's knees gave way. He stooped down, and gaze at the floor. One vanu soldier holding his arm in pain, and in the other a punisher, propped up against the wall. He steadied his aim and prepared to shoot. "F-final-ly I c-can res-t" came the last words as a bullet hit him squarely in the head. His bullet riddled body slumped to the ground and hit with a heavy thud. The Black Knight was dead.

The wounded Vanu soldier gazed around the spawn room. No one was left. But just as he stopped to nurse his wounds, a forceblade cut into his back. His eyes opened wide and he tumbled to the ground. Otherick was left standing now. "I'm sorry friend. I must help them now." He dashed out of the room looking to find where the others had gone. He climbed the stairs, and emerged outside. A cycler butt hit him in the face, causing him to fall over. "Wait!!!!!!!!"


I do realize that the revision gave it away, but it was necessary. Otherwise the story wouldn't have made sense. Sorry for that plot hole, had this been editable I would have done that, but A. The timer ran out. and more importantly B. I couldn't think of a good substitute for him, since I only mentioned 3 people in 7th legion other than Gamma-Lance, Cease and Onetoomany who had already been introduced. Again many apologies and I hope that you enjoyed it nonetheless. New chapter soon.
