Unless you're running a Pentium 133, you can probably play it. The game runs amazingly well on low end systems, for gods sake its minimum specs are a 1.2 Ghz processor 256 megs of RAM and a DirectX 7 capable graphics card. And I can guarentee you with a 99.999999999% chance that HL2 will NOT bore you. One of the most exciting games I've ever played.

As for not having enough money, start saving. NOW. Its worth it.

Ok, so I'll save for a new computer AND Half-life 2. I can probably get the money by late December. Are there any of those boring levels like in the original where you just run around with no gun and little messages pop up saying stuff like, "Press E to open the podbay door, and walk in."?

No. Non-stop pulse-pounding OMGCOOL action. Complete with screaming zombies, bloodspattered walls, beautiful immersive scenery, and Combine soldiers yelling tactical instructions to one another as you gun them down.

Starting playing through again tonight, and this time I'm taking screencaps


Civil Protection (CPs) soldiers raid a civillian house.

A picture in Walter's lab. I'm assuming the scratched out part is Breen. At first I thought the guy on the right might have been the G-man, but then remembered that there was a scientist in the original game that looked like that. Wasn't there a picture in the original game that looks like this?
