I have my doubts about leaving one empire with damage degredation. Generally speaking one can just compensate for bullet drop, but degredation doesn't go away. Seems especially problematic for the sniper rifle. Loving the look of everything though! Especially this: I have to imagine that his last words were "OMGWTFBBQ!!1!" |

If they make the damage degradation be consistent with the lower number of bullets that would hit with a gun that had more recoil/cof, then it should be fine. It just means that VS guns are always accurate, but have an equally hard time doing larger amounts of damage at longer ranges.
If it's relatively easy to make most bullets hit at a certain distance, then the VS guns should do almost full damage. If it's hard to hit with more than half of your bullets at a certain range, VS guns should do about half damage. This is going to require serious balancing and playtesting though. If they get it right, I think it will give a great and unique feel to the VS. If they get it wrong, VS are either gimped or overpowered, and if we are overpowered, we will soon be nerfed to hell.
