Chapter 11: Bad Luck
"I wanna help you guys!!!" said Otherick as HustlaH pointed his gun at his face. "Sure sure thats what everybody says," replied Bismarck. "No, wait. Don't kill him," said Lance. "Soldier, what's your name?" "Otherick." "Can you get us out of Hossin, without the NC or the VS swarming us?" "Yes! Yes, sir I can do that!" "Good. HustlaH get deliverer from the vehicle terminal. I'll cover you in a reaver," said Lance. After taking out the turrets with his reaver, Lance began to escort the deliverer to where he hoped the Ishundar warpgate was. Lance could hear the com inside the deliverer. "Alright, now turn right here and go 2 miles. I've got a contact set up who will find us a safe passage out of here," came Otherick's somewhat shaky voice. "OK, we're trusting you." Lance saw the deliverer roll into a swamp and then stop by a large tree. He hovered above the tree, keeping a lookout for stray NC scouts. He gazed down and saw a lone Vanu soldier emerge from behind a tree. Otherick, Maverick, Bismarck, LeperCe, and the soldier, whos name was apparently Zionsfire, stood and talked. A few minutes later the soldier clicked something in his hand, and a wraith appeared out of nowhere. He got in and began to drive off. "Ok, follow this guy," said Maverick. Lance and the deliverer rolled on at 65 KPH for about 30 minutes. The tension in the deliverer had subsided by now, as they figured that a trap was more or less out of the question. They breathed a deep sigh of relief as they saw a warpgate on the horizon. "Well, looks like these two barney's kept their word," said Lance. "Wait a minute. Zion, this isn't the right warpgate!" said Otherick. "I know..." Zion floored his wraith into a nearby swamp and recloaked, completely shielding himself from view. "Shit! We've been tricked. Turn around!!" But it was already too late. Over a squad of Vanu popped out from behind a tree and began to open fire on the deliverer with Lancers. "DAMN! I can't believe he betrayed me!" said Otherick. The deliverer, already sustaining major damage made a sharp turn, trying to get away. Lance opened fire on the Vanu grunts, dropping 4 of them, before one of the worst things a pilot can see, a Starfire, opened fire on him. He juiced his afterburners, but was hit hard by the blasts. His right engine exploded sending him into a spiral. "I'm going down!!!!!!!!!!" He pushed the eject button, knowing full well that the chance of him ejecting safely was slim to none. Click. His cockpit blew open and he was rocketed out of the dying reaver. He had not ejected towards the sky, nor had he ejected into the ground. He was flying parallel to the ground. He clicked his dampeners on and off, they wouldn't work. He cursed violently as the ground became closer and closer. He closed his eyes not 30 feet from the ground and gave the switch one final click. A turqoise shell shot out from under him, slowing him down almost immediately. But the shell had clicked in late, and he still hit the ground at a speedy velocity, causing his knees to buckle. He propped himself up just in time to see the deliverer take a hit from a magrider, sending it into a roll. He saw a few figures dive out in mid air and hit the ground, obviously trying to bail. The deliverer landed on its roof, fire erupting from it's underbody. This was the last thing he saw, as he felt a blunt object hit him in the top of the head, sending him into numb sleep. |

Chapter 12: Not Again!
"Ugggggggh. Not again..." Lance groaned as he slowly awakened to the dim lights of a prison chamber. "Sir! The prisoner is awake!" chimed Zionsfire in an all too pleased voice. Lance began to become oriented with his surroundings, but then realized that no one else was near him with the exception of the purple soldier, the traitor, Zionsfire. He started looking around frantically, and then shouting out their names. "Maverick?!" "Kelly!?" "Hustlah!!!!" "WHERE ARE YOU GUYS!???" "Shuddup." Zion's boot kicked Lance in the ribs causing him to recoil in pain. "Enough," came the heavy voice of another Vanu as he entered the room. "My apologies General." "Dismissed." The Vanu, adorned with many medals and awards, appeared to be a general, perhaps a leader of the high council. "Greetings Air Captain. I am General Exarkun, commander of the Vanu Offensive Forces. You're probably wondering why I went through all the trouble to capture you and your friends. Well I had a spy tell me about the failed NC raid on Ishundar that occurred about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He said you were quite instrumental in the destruction of their air force, which I may add is the most powerful air squadron in the world. I took notice of this and decided that you would be a perfect addition to our forces." "Huh. Well screw you! I've been captured before, what makes you think I'll join you if I didn't join the NC?" "Well because I have quite a good incentive for you." He pulled out a small controller and clicked it. A wall in the back rose up slowly revealing 5 chairs. In the first lay the motionless body of Hitman, beaten with numerous bruises and cuts as well as burn marks. The second bore Maverick, equally as damaged. And the rest of the 3 chairs held Kelly, Bismarck, and Neo. Lance's eyes widened in fear and realization. "NO! YOU SICK BASTARD! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM??!!" "Well, obviously they were in that deliverer. You know the one that flipped? I hate to say it but they were the only ones that survived. Your other comrades, HustlaH, LeperCe, and Rok, well lets just say they won't be fighting any more battles. "YOU ASSHOLE!!!!!!! I'LL KILL YOU!" "Now, now captain. Don't be foolish. You have the power to save these remaining 5. All you have to do is join us in our upcoming raid on Cyssor. In fact, we are raiding it as I speak. Join us, fight the battle, and we will free you and your friends, assuming you survive." "And if I refuse?" "Then this." He pushed another button and the a gigantic gun dropped from the ceiling. "Your friends will be getting a slight haircut." "OK OK! Fine, I'll do it..." Excellent captain, we leave in 3 hours. |

O O O! I KNOW!!! I can be the guy that jumps into a reaver, flys to the vanu mothership, then pisses all over it and the story ends!!! YAY!!! WERE ALL HAPPY!!!! lol, anywayz, anychance you could fit me in? im a HA Reaver pilot/heavy grunt and i really want to A. go down by 90 rifles hitting me at once, or B. just kill stuff and then die in a blaze of fire, J/k, if you could fit me in that would pwn congs. And yes i know, this is the second time i asked, but It would be nice if i could get mentioned, you know, gotta get my Uberness to everyone so i'll be even more 1337 ok, ill stop now, my head hurts from saying 1337 and uber

Chapter 13: Escape
Lance looked around as he was forced onto the galaxy. It appeared that they were now in Oshur. Lance was suprised to find this out as he had been knocked out in Hossin. They must have made the transport relatively quick, or used some heavy sedatives, one or the other. He was buckled into a seat in between two Vanu soldiers. Across from him were each of his remaining comrades, all now alert, but with their mouths taped shut. 2 other soldiers sat on either end of the galaxy, while the pilot, Zionsfire, and General Exarkun were in the cockpit. Lance glanced around for some way to escape. He found none at first, and relaxed himself as the galaxy took off. After flying for about 30 minutes, they reached the Cyssor warpgate. Lance saw the world go black for a few seconds while they warped. Suddenly the scenery changed from desolate wasteland, to a lush tropical forest, as the galaxy emerged in Cyssor. Lance heard one of the men say that they were on their way to Pamba; not that far from where they were. 'I've got to do something,' thought Lance as the ship continued on its path. His eyes shifted to the soldier on his right. He saw a forceblade that was nearly out of its holster, probably from the turbulance of the flight. Right next to it was the soldier's beamer. Lance decided what to do. Lance continued waiting, until there was a heavy turbulance over Shango. Lance took the opportunity, and snatched the forceblade, holding it by his side. He began to wittle away at his bondings with the knife, stroke by stroke. After a few minutes his right arm was free. As he looked out the window, seeing Pamba in the distance, he knew it was now or never. Quick as a wink, he thrust the knife into the soldier's throat. The soldier's hands shot to his throat, and he plummeted to the ground, gushing blood. Lance reached for the beamer, and with a quick flick zapped the soldier on his left before he could do anything. The two remaining soldiers drew their weapons, but Lance was too fast. He unbuckled his other bonding, and dove across the galaxy into one of the enemies. Taking his lasher, Lance fired from behind the unconcsious soldier, using him as a human shield. The other soldier took 4 orbs to the face and collapsed onto the ground, writhing in pain. "What the hell is going on back there," asked Exarkun. "I don't know, sir. I'll check, man the controls." Lance hunted the soldier's inventory until he found a boomer. He placed it on the tail end of the galaxy, and detonated it. A massive shock it the galaxy, causing it to jerk. A gigantic hole appeared in the tail end, big enough for Lance to jump out of. He quickly unbuckled all of his comrades and sent them out the hole. "GO GO GO!!!" Zionsfire burst into the cargo area just in time to see Lance sucked out through the hole. Zion lost his balance, slid on the floor, and was sucked out as well. Lance glanced down to see all 5 of his friends floating safely to ground, their dampeners kicking in. Above him, Zion was tumbling in a free fall. Lance smirked, as he kicked in his dampeners, took out his cycler and fired at Zion. Bullets became embedded in the falling Vanu, and right as Lance touched down, Zion crashed into the ground only a few feet from him. "Everyone alright?" asked Lance. "I think so," responded Bismarck. "Damn Lance, quick thinkin bud," said Maverick. "Yeah, well now we need to find shelter, and right away." "Over here!" yelled Kelly. She pointed to a small cave inside a large ditch. The soldiers slid down into it and began walking inside. "This is no ordinary cave," said Neo. "Yeah I've got a bad feeling about this." Above them Exarkun, knowing what had happened crash landed the galaxy into the ground, right next to Pamba. As he walked towards the base, after ejecting, he spoke to the first soldier he saw. "Tell Roswell that the prisoners escaped south of here. Send out a search party." The soldier scuttled off, Exarkun sauntering by his heels. "Yes, I should have known not to guard you so loosely. But this makes it that much more fun..." |
