you know, there at the end, where they mention that town getting bombed, in the book it said that part of the company was there, they expected them all to be dead.
no casualties. well, mabey wounded, but no dead, they were suppriesed to find then all alive.

Some pics of when I visited Bastogne. The 101st Airborne defended honorably there as seen in the BoB series. Those are the woods they fought in. I was stationed in Germany and drove down there. Pretty eery, what with all the blood that was spilled in that forest. (There is also a pic of Mrs. Mani in the tulip gardens in the Netherlands.)

There is but one bad episode in this series. I didn't like the one with the medic running around during the Battle of the Bulge.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
