Smed says announcements next week

how long have you been following the ps2 developement?
were you already here, when ps2 was still called planetside next?
if so, you would know why we are pessimistic when smed announces that he is going to announce something...
because he has shown the habbit of announcing announcements that only announce when other announcements will be announced ... and so on.

but i wouldn´t rant at all devs about this
our devs are great! no need to use our bows and arrows on dev photos. just a photo of smed and brewko is enough

They would never just suddenly drop beta without prior warning. When they do announce beta it will likely be the date it starts not "It's NOW!"

Anyways. I don't think it will be a beta announcement next week but here is hoping I guess. The only other thing that could possibly interest me at this point is footage of the HA weapons.

Personally I think it's going to hit after the 1st of July since there is going to be a big push for the event that day.

I remember the last time Smedley was going to announce something about beta.

In march 2011.

Smed did say the announcement was going to be in relation to when people could start getting into the beta.

Although knowing Smed, the announcement could indeed be "We need to push it back 6 months. Here's some HA weapon footage."

As I've said before, if SOE doesn't start the beta soon the game won't be released this fall. There is bound to be major issues with the game, they need to start testing now in order to fix the issues before Oct.

Yes... Yes, I was here at that point in time. I was here when PS1 started to decline and fans yearned for PS2, with no indication from SOE that it would ever come... I fail to see what it has to do with this though. If that is how you feel when Smed says there's an announcment coming, don't get exited over it. That is the easiest way of not being pessimistic!
