Well, speaking as someone who played in PS1. You will find no difficulty in communicating on the european server. 99% of the chat in the command channel was in English, the greatest exception was the Russians.

So I wouldn't think it a problem.

It is true that quite a lot found communicating in text far easier than speaking English, but we'll manage I'm sure.

Sounds like the Euro server Miller is going to be a much bigger deal of affairs than any US server. WHO ARE YAA. Don't see them chatting about the servers and clans all over here

Anyone remember that back in the day there was kind of an opinion on Werner that they were more skilled than the Emerald folks?

And a bunch of people decided to go over and make an outfit to show Emerald how it was done and with all modesty they called the outfit GOW, Gods of Werner.

I know they used to call us a bunch of plasma n00bs, but hey, the Thumper worked. My experience on the US servers was that there were a ton more ineffectual snipers camping each other, more footzerging in general and a ton more useless /comconts and /globals about what that particular CR5 had just eaten or expelled.

Ps2 has a chance to settle all of this in the future.

Which helps suggest that Werner was more of a community in general than the US servers, that it seems more of us are still in touch with each other nine years on and are prepared to go to more lengths to keep on playing together.

Seriously, its a no brainer for us. We have two servers, so its just a simple decision. I just picked the one folks were leaning to anyway for the VS, and im happy that all those TR and NC outfits are just jumping in. It will be a gigantic blast for us, once we managed to get through the quenes.


AS for the US, its really not as simple. Plenty of the US outfits of old got EU guys playing with them as well. They pretty much need to take a East server.

On the other hand, some US outfits are US only, with loads of folks being west coast. Pretty much the result of Planetside 1, Markov and Emerald, and later the Merge or everything into Gemini.



Anyway, EU folks: I hope, regardless of the quene Miller will have on release, that you stick with Miller. the rush should die down, and it would be a shame to loose any of you old timers to another server.

just get the subscription right away, and you can pass a big chunk of the quene.
