OFC its 2012. YOu didnt really expect them to start beta within the next few days, and then only have beta running for 2 month max, did you?

After seeing that shot of the base from the skeeter's 3rd person cam, I'm gonna need me some new boxers. These are... soiled.


It looks to me like the main base structure has always been there, but the fortifications were dropped from orbit. It's a civilian facility that has been militarized.

And I think there's an air tower in the lower left corner of the foreground as well.


AND there's an energy gate separating the courtyard sections. Defense In Depth baby!

Well, I'm likely to go NC if the Prowler is anything like those blobs in the cover art's background... Considering everything else looks like it should (is that a Liberator in the top-right?), I'm concerned that those aren't just placeholders...

But yeah, I'm kind of worried that the TR may have too much appeal compared to the other empires, for someone who isn't biased after playing PS1.

Yeah the way I imagine the bases being formed is the main structure and towers get dropped in, then the small buildings and joining walls get constructed by hand.

Whether we will ever get to build our own bases is another matter, but at least that's the way I see it being explained.
