Get 'em a body bag!

Interesting about the physical combat, though it could just be for a trailer animation.

Yeah, I tweeted T-Ray in response to him uploading this video, asking if there were disarming mechanics in Planetside 2. We'll see what he says in reply.

Awesome little clip, tho!

My bet is since the agency was never released, they are reusing as much of it as they can.

I could see them reusing old Mocap. Not cheap to run that stuff.

As cool as it would be to have melee moves (side grade unlockables?), I will assume it is not going to be used for PS2 until I hear official word. If that kind of stuff IS possible, I'm pretty sure I would spend hours in an infiltration suit with nothing but my combat knife, just to score 1 satisfying kill like that every 10 minutes or so. So long as its nothing like MW2's tactical knife.

Also reminds me of a quote from penny arcade: "He got 50 kills, and ended the match with a tactical nuke."

" He just killed 50 people with a knife! Okay? That is the LAST person who should have a bomb! He's no modern warrior. He's a ****ing psychopath!"
(gave me the giggles, felt like sharing)

None the less, nice vid. You can almost feel the guy hit the ground from only the sound he makes. XD

I was a hater for a while on cover systems, but really it worked well in large engagements when trying to press forward on a goal. We found that when worked on properly, you can make a pretty nice cover system. My biggest problem with cover-based play is with blind-fire. You really need to reduce the accuracy to prevent EVERYONE from using it - which might have happened - often - all the time - during play-tests.

It's also really fun to hang in cover and then vault over into someone with a shotgun to the face or a knife in the chest.

Wow, imagine some of these forum messages out of context ...

Should see my thread on "umph", you'd think I was hell bent on carnage and mayhem.
