Darn it, someone let the clones out again. Just a quick thanks to all of you before I have to go out and round them up...

Alot of dev teams makes the mistake of having a "PR wall" between them and their community. This just makes them look undedicated and detached, even if they are dedicated. The absolute best thing a dev team can do is associate themselves with the people playing; share a beer or two, so to speak. That;s what turns f2p players into customers, because we know that the dev team is putting in huge amounts of work and are just damn decent folks. Ergo, they deserve some money in the pocket when the time comes...
Again, I'll say "VERY well done, PS2 guys. I've never seen a dev team so dedicated to it's community." |

I thought about it. Seemed cliche.
Also thought about using T-Ray but the photobomb pic was too perfect. Anyway, the dev team DOES rock and and the communication is really a great change from most companies. As players we get tired of the silent monoliths that seem to only produce semi-annual statements that sound like they were copy-pasted right out of a Corperate Message Formatting How-To book. You guys aren't just rewriting the book on how to build an FPS, you're also rewiting the book on how to build a community. Both achievements to be very proud of. Hopefully the rest of the industry is taking notes. |
