There are several ways to get someone to stop shooting at the generators of a hacked base:
1: "vvc" "Cease Fire!". When someone actually HEARS THE WORDS "Ceast Fire", they often get the message. 2: Take one for the team. Stand between them and their target. Doesn't work on people with knives, but then they're pretty much wasting their time, so that's less of an issue. These two in conjunction often work. And when they don't, the mister gen-killer can enjoy his grief points. And you can respawn and try to get back in front of them again. 3: "/l let me explain" can help too, at least if they listen, and you're a fast typist. 4: And finally, you can pop a cap in their bitch ass. One to let them know you're serious.... and waste them if they persist. On the other hand, once the "you can spawn in a hacked base" patch is release, blasting the gens will come considerably more appealing. |

Hello,
There was once an occasion where our sqaud wanted to destory the generator since we were not at a linked base and behind enemy lines. The problem was that enemies were there trying to stop us, and we simply didn't have the fire power in the gen room to take it out. As an engineer I was placing boomers near it trying to blow it up, but for heaven's sake how many does it take already? I msut have placed five of them before I was killed. Has anyone tested this? Where is the best spot to maximize boomer damage when trying to do it? The generators seem to have a huge "hit point" pool. Thanks, |
