Zerging solution?

Got an idea to kick the crap out of zergers. SOI empire advantages and disadvantages. Lets say that TR have 80 ppl in a base SOI and NC are defending with 20 ppl. TR have health cranked down to say 75% evening the odds a bit. (mabye not that much but looking at empire bonuses and stuff its like -1% exp at 100 exp thats 1 point, will that make much of a diffrence?)

I dunno, I think maybe we'll see the zerg diminished after today's patch. It seems to me that two or three good squads can hold off a zerg indefinately already, and now that the towers will have depletable resources and 5 minute hacks, we'll find much added potency to those who chose to defend.

I don't see why zerging is a problem...someone puts up a decent offense, you can't expect them to get a disadvantage, you should expect your team to sort out a decent defense. It's all part of a team game; organising it so you can defend against large numbers.

There is nothing wrong with "zerging" - attacking with overwhelming numbers is as valid a tactic as any. To say you want to punish players for organizing a large attack force is asinine.

A zerg isn't just a large attack force. It's a large attack force filled with electronic sheep who can only march and die repeatedly until their enemy is overrun.

I don't mind zerging in the game. It reminds me a lot of how the Soviets kept the Germans locked up in Stalingrad. Just keep throwing bodies into the fight until you wear them down and allow your more experienced units to surround them.

People are going to do it because they are looking for quick action and the quickest way to the action is in a zerg. Banzi!
