Enemy spawning at hacked bases - so what?

Has anyone been in a battle for a base where, as a hack is counting down, enemy spawning in the base itself has caused a serious problem / dramatically altered gameplay?

I thought this patch would make for extremely interesting base battles, but I've not seen any evidence of them.

Thoughts?

Well, it might be more of an issue if the enemies could use their terminals. Since the ability to hack those eq terminals went to 5 points, the number of people that can do it has gone way down.

Well it helps prevent lone hackers from taking over bases, since defenders (if they care enough to go to that base) can overpower the hackers. And I store a few jackhammers in my locker for moments like this

But in a "real" battle with more than a few people on each side it doesn't make much of a difference.

yes, i plan to spend a long time today storing my lockers now

before i was basically just finding a corpse, jacking a REK off of it, and hacking terms for my squads

The biggest difference I have seen is people camping the spawn room and racking up exp.

That's due to more enemies in the SOI during the hack because they can respawn there.

I would refer you to this thread made by myself. And continuing I was skeptical at first myself until today. It at was cyssor>leza. I'm NC and we were scouring our home continents republic scum. We went in, hacked the base, and 2 minutes later it was resecured. The guys in the spawn room had some adv hackers with them and were getting their equipment and totally zerging the cc. It all depends if you have a hacker spawning with you. One more thing, MJBuddy, you do know that you automatically spawn with a REK in your inventory don't you? :P

Actually I've been thinking today I might want to actually stash a few mini-chainguns in my locker now (which would mean I'd have to lose some of my jackhammers/lashers ) since I spawn with ammo for the MCG and could swap it out and still be quite a terror in my standard vest.

You go sooo fast in a standard vest w/ surge.

I think the main reason they added this spawning at hacked bases feature was to increase the importance/use of locekrs.

Seems to me that the enemy is using them wrongly. Spawning at a hacked base is dum as cheese.

Your fodder.

I'm still waiting for the day when your holding the spawn room and 10 max's come through.

If people could store armour in lockers - apart from Maxes - that'd be interesting...

Well, it seems to bother some people. I was on this weekend, and we were about to hack a base. Two people decided to destroy the generator, and I asked them to stop. They said why and I told them because we were about to hack. They said that they needed to stop people from spawning in the base, so they kept firing and called me a newbie

I asked them why didn't they just destroy the spawn tubes, and my response was "you are such a noob".

I don't think the players coming in during a hack could change a battle very much. Sure you can stuff weapons in the lockers, but you still only have the default armor which makes a big difference.
