They're looking at the data, which is what spork always said, and in your giddiness, you automatically think its getting nerfed. Just because all the TR kiddies on the official boards started saying "yeaY!! NURF@!!" doesn't mean its being nerfed... just look at Spork's responses.

IMO, whatever they do to the jackhammer, it will always be slightly better than the sweeper (which is how it is now) and better than the other HAs in close combat. The devs will not break from their design just so a TR zergling is able to run into the muzzle of a JH without fear.

NC people, rejoice... your jackhammers will always be the best close-quarters weapon.

The Striker is at 4 to 1 and the Lagrider is around 10 to 1.

The lancer is slow, slower than the jackhammer, which it shouldn't be. I dodge lancers all the time, but then not many vanu use em (atleast the groups i'v seen).




Plus the jackhammer aint really close-range weapon, not the way I've been killed with it.

I assume you mean the LASHER. The lasher is the hvy assault weapon for the vanu that fires large slow moving balls of energy. The LANCER is the AV weapon that fires a very fast bolt of energy.

Whenever a SOE employee says the issue is under investigation you bet a nerf is comming...

its not like it was when TR were winning by basically max rushing all the bases, NC DONT always win, and when we do its because we had an organized strike that day (on emerald, at least)

hell, if they plan to nerf NC, Vanu will be overpowered, so this is a bad idea taking away our indoor battle ability

however, lower the distance the JH can go and it will be fine, i dont think it should be usable outside, its just not meant to be

Dear god! What are you four? Did you een read the post you cited? Obviously not, why must you take it out of context in yet another attempt to turn this into a shithole the likes of the OF.

I'd rather just see them beef up the MCG and maybe the Lasher (dunno if it needs it, I've never used it...) to make them more comparable. If they keep nerfing everything we'll all be fighting with nothing but knives in a year.

I really dont see a issue with this weapon.

IMHO - It is best used at close range and thats it. If you allow your enemy into a certain distance where a shotgun is effective its your own fault, not the one caring the weapon.

After thinking about it quite a bit (im at work and of course have nothing better to do) Id really rather they actually made the TR and vanu weapons more useful then nerf the jackhammer. Its fooked up that my chaingun has to be at damn near point blank range to kill someone but a jackhammer can gank me the other side of the road in a base. If they just increased the fire rate on lasher and accuracy on chaingun I think these rants would stop.
