Cert Question

Is it necessary to cert in medium assult to get any other weapons? Or can I just cert in like good ol uhhh thingy with the sniper... oh yea! Bolt driver?

you have to cert in medium assult before you can cert in any other weapon cert

Yup, if ur looking at HA, Spec, AV or sniper, go ahead and read that cert cost as 5 (or 6 for HA), cuz ya gotta spend those 2 for Medium assault

Hmm... just ahd a thougt. What if one was to cert in HA after getting MA. When one gets HA could one simply forget MA and still use HA?

The game won't allow you to forget the prerequisite if you have the advancement. So, say you have Heavy Assault. You'd have to forget that first before you could forget Medium.

Yup, and that across the board, not just weapons.
Adv Medic can't forget Med, CE can't for get Engi, Adv.Hack can't forget hack

I remember hearing someone in the Sanc during beta talk about forgetting Prereqs. Does anyone know if this was possible during Beta?

I dont think so, if it was, i never tried, but i sure could have helped hehe

I know I have done it before in Beta. But they definetly fixed it for retail, would be kind of lame to have a loop hole like that in game.

Why honestly whould you not want medium assault, especialy for a sniper, the bolt driver is great for winging people eating breakfast a mile away btu it really sucks when the enemy is charging your hill zigging and zagging like a crack out leprecaun. Honestly even the heavy assault weaponry people with the exception of th emuch maligned by it's own faction MCG, has the versatility to serve you at multiple ranges. You better have a cycler/gaus/punisher to back you up.
