O man being 16 is not fun. Adults always say that they wish they were kids again because kids have no responsibilities and can just have fun. The REAL reason they say that is cause they are loosing their har, or their tits are getting saggy, and they wish they were teenagers again. They forget how much being 16 sucks. My parents are a pain in the ass. They always give me a hard time when i go out, and even though they know they are gonna let me go out, they always make me argue with them. Its not even like i go out a lot. Friday and sat nights, and im always home before 11:30. But they insist on giving me a hard.

Parents suck, they forget that being a teenager is supposed to be fun. and being 16 is not as fun as adults think it is.

Get up at 6, and then have fun till 1130. It works better that way. 16 is good, it's kinda downhill after that unless you work your ass off.

Just now I've come back from going out with a couple friends for a few hours. I snuck out the house at midnight without my parents knowing =D

And when I go to Denmark (which is often) beer = legal! =D

Then again I can get it here easy enough =/

Being a teenager isn't supposed to be all fun. Sure you can have fun but you're preparing to be an adult. Sometimes parents bitch at what seems like nothing but you just have to deal with it. 2 more years and you can have a little more freedom. Unfortunately you find out that you have more responsibilities. Once you hit like 12 fun time is over and it's all about being responsible.

I work in school, but i dont work my ass off. Im a junior and i have no idea where iwant to go to college but everyone keeps asking me where i want to go. God growing up sucks. I wish i was 6 instead of 16.

More fun + more responsibility is fine with me.

See, flashingfish breaks the rules (sneaking out) and gets to have lots of fun, I follow most rules, and my parents give me a hard time.

Don't break any rules, then you will just fuck you life up and/or make it harder. If you don't know what you want to do, join the peace corps. You can see the world. If you're not opposed to risking your life join the military, there's a million jobs.

eh, dont sweat it. as of now, you are developing skills to base your life on. you need to work hard enough to get a steady job, and once you have a steady job you have a fixed income. with money you can afford to be independant of your parents, and then can hang with your friends with no problems. in reality, your parents are making sure you move out... they want you to do good in school so you can get the job that will "get you out of their hair" so to speek. just take it easy... my moms a drunk and hassles me all the time over issues. i just sit back, relax, and dont give her any reason to jump on my ass.

College isn't all about studying you know, go to a state university (ie. for me: University of Texas[can you say party?], and Texas A&M[I'll probly end up going here]) and you can have a little fun. Now don't get me wrong, I do plan on studying hard when I get to college, but all work and no play sure as hell sucks

Maybe I forgot to mention I'm in a school which is in the top 1% of my country, which isn't a private school (so my parents couldn't just pay to get me in ) and I'm in the top few % of my year group. I revise (study) pretty hard and get good marks/grades.

I just know the balance between having fun and working =/

Growing up poor sucks more. You don't get to do crap, because your too young to work, and your parents cannot afford for you to do anything. The most fun I've had has been this past year. I got my 1st place 9 months ago, I'm 22. I throw parties, stay out for days at a time. I'm still in college. I go on weekend trips with my friends. Go skydiving, ride dirt bikes, street bikes. Screw my girlfriends brains out any time of the day. What more can you ask for? But you have to make enough money to do what you want.

If I had said "I go out every day and get drunk and take drugs" then I would understand, but I don't do that. At all.
