My parents have the credit card, I'm 13 and would gladly give a few bucks for this site, but my parents won't let me. I had to whittle them down to let me use their CC to pay for PS, but this is something I don't think will be negotiable. :-(
Who else has a problem like mine?

Hello,
Get a job. Open a bank account. Get a Visa Check Card. It looks and works like a regular Visa Credit Card, but the money comes out of your checking account. You don't need credit to get one. Then you'd be able to pay for your own PS subscription AND donate to anything you wanted. With a credit card and address, you could setup your own paypal account even. I am not saying this to be harsh, so don't take it as such. It is hard to see someone's voice or meaning in text. I'm trying to be helpful. When I was young, I wanted to play paintball. My parents didn't have the money, so I went out and worked for it. I wanted to do something that cost money, so I went out and made money to do it. You'll be amazed at how great it is to have your OWN money to spend as YOU please. 8-) Just an idea, |

Hello,
Yes, he can, and most banks won't have a problem with it. I'd go to the same bank your parents bank at to get the account. At the worst, they will require your parents to be named on the account also. The main point is that you can do it, and it just requires work. I see young people on boards all the time complaining about not having money, but then those same people refuse to get a job to do anything about it. Just because you are young doesn't mean you can't make your own money. My parents were not a personal bank for me, and any parent out there shouldn't have to be for their child either. If you want something bad enough in life, you will find a solution to make getting it possible. Such solutions require work and sacrifice though, and few people I meet are willing to work for what they want. 8-( |
