RAM or 3D card?

Hey all, I'm just wondering if I should upgrade my RAM or 3d card first. Have 512DDR and a NVidia Geforce 4 MX 440 64meg. Proc. is a p4 2.4ghz, if that makes much of a difference on the decision.

Main reason would be for PS, as I just quit EQ (yay, three times already, from what you can see from my sig for good this time i hope) and i need another online game with a strong community. I've been lurking these boards, as well as the horizons boards for a while now and i'm going into denial already, lol.

Should be getting PS within the next couple weeks, and then I'm wondering what i should buy. Going to university in the fall so right now my funds are limited. Looking at www.robotnik.com (i'm in canada too, eh?) and there is, or was, a geforce 4 ti-4200 128meg w/TV-out for ~210, ATI Radeon 9000p for 170, 9500 for 230 and 9500p for almost 300.(probobly some other deals if i wait a couple weeks)...or i can get another 512megs of DDR for ~100. Although i'd like to steer clear of radeons, heard horror stories of frying hard drives, and a friend of a friend had his comp catch fire one night Anyway, just wondering where the best bang for the buck will be, as it's going to be a while before i can scrounge up enough funds for another upgrade.

Thanks in advance

Well, PS eats RAM for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. So I'd recommend the RAM as you'll be getting more bang for your buck.

that card is pretty stank and the one I just had before a 9500p. get the ti4200 or 9500p, the pro if you want to use edge anti-alaising and better texture quality. (which in itself is a toss-up, sometimes you'll be in awe of how much better the image quality is, sometimes you won't give a shit) I haven't tested my 9500p yet with PS but might be able to if I can figure out how to use the training level without being subscribed.

Thanks for the input, guess i'll be getting the ram first and the the ti-, since i know damned well i'll be pushing my luck with 200 bucks on the card, let alone scrounging an extra hundred.

Just took a look at ebay too...saw 3 or 4 geforce FX 5900 256meg DDR cards at about 225, 250 canadian...so i might grab one of those instead

Anyway, thanks again

1) Find your planetside.exe
2) create a shortcut to it.
3) in properties of the shortcut add -off after a space after the last "
4) double click the shortcut.
5) enjoy offline training

thats how to do offline training.
