VS situation, lasher upgrade needed?

As my sides population on my server evens out more and more i come to realize that the tools we were given to kill have never really been all that unfair.
I believe the lasher only needs enough mods so that its even with the other heavy assaults, who agrees?
I do not think however, that there are any other needed upgrades for VS or any other side.
Most people joined VS cause they were the underdog and then they complained bout how hard and unfair it was. Why do you think its hard? cause were the underdog at most times!
Its not that our weapons are weaker, its that most of you stand there in the open pumping your rounds like rambo expecting to actually survive your gung-ho stunts.
Keeps your distance from jackhammers, boost over TR maxs but only use half your boost power (while shooting at them from above) these are all logical things to do in order to survive encounters with the things you tend to complain about most.
I have used these simple procedures and killed many JH users, and TR maxes ON MY OWN (with destructive power to spare baby).

p.s. Maybe the lasher needs upgrades, maybe other things need upgrading and i simply dont know because i dont use the item. HOWEVER, what needs to be worked on the most is your personal skill. I dont care how one tank has half as much "blah" as another tank... get over it and use your INTELLIGENCE to reign supreme! because i truly believe thats what makes a big difference in the end.

The Lasher needs an upgrade. When I can walk through a wall of friendly lasher fire and only lose 50 life, something is wrong.

The lasher should be fairly effective after the planned upgrade. Thresher was god awful and will be merely awful once they boost its armor. The orbs on the Tresher gun are still WAY too slow to hit anything moving.

Lancer is very good, pulsar is good, magrider is awesome..

Beamer is worthless, knife glowing is STUPID.

Play TR & NC MAX then play VS MAX-- our max are very underpowered.

Overall I still love VS very much and am very much looking forward to the patch... I'm lasher/lancer and adv medic 8)

Indeed the Thresher is really very bad. I use one, though for the sake of having a decent hovercraft I can pilot in Reinforced. Armor wise I don't have many complaints. It has enough to get me where I'm going when I'm driving half asleep, but no amount of armor will help you when you're against a tank.

The weapon is a joke. So far the only thing I've found it to be any good for is killing parked enemy Harassers and Basilisks.

But I still run over plenty of people in my Thresher!

They are increasing the ROF but there is somethin that they need to do to make it right....they need to make the orbs lash...they hardly do any damage is they just zoom by close to you...they are meant to lash you for considerate damage....

I thought they were meant to as well. I mean, if the projectiles are so slow, obviously the intentive use of the weapon was for it to be somewhat difficult to hit people (especially at medium or long range). The lashing damage should be sufficient so that you can kill people without actually getting a direct hit IMO. After all, the weapon itself is called the "Lasher".

you are all true to many degrees

i agree with many of you on all of this but i still feel that the VS max does not need much upgrading. If i were unable to kill enemy maxs with it then i would understand but i have never had a problem with demolishing them when i remember to use my head.
out of curiousity though, what sort of upgrades would you all feel are appropreate for the VS max?

i'd like to see a higher clip size for the comet and starfire. 10 and 8 is just way to low, and you have to reload so often. Honestly, since when does energy take more space than a missle? Also, the projectile speed needs to be increased...you cant hit anything moving with a comet, and even a galaxy could probably outrun the starfire projectiles.

thats very true...
perhaps there could just be constant fire from our energy based weapons? and the energy would recharge over time so there would be no need for reloading?
a reason for this would be that the energy in our gun chambers gets depleted if used constantly and needs time to enter the chambers once more.
i mean it makes more sense to me because thats how our max's boosters work, how our afterburners work, so why not make our weapons work on some sort of recharging system as well? im confidant it could still be done in a fair even matter dont you agree?

No ammo for Vanu weapons? No way, totally unfair. While everybody else runs to an AMS or facility to reload you guys just find cover for a while to let your weapons recharge then jump back in? How does that seem fair?

thats not what im saying... im saying that it would recharge like the boosters on maxs and planes... but there would still be only so much energy that the gun could hold. there would still be an ammo limit you know? the only thing id change is the gun recharging.

Ok ok I mis-understood you. That doesn't sound so bad. Quite a good idea actually.
