You suck.
I have a strategy for downing enemy aircraft. I am not going to give it away, for one reason. I have yet to lose a dogfight. I'm not kidding. I was downed by an enemy once, when I was concentrating on Elmo's Armored Car (READ: Prowler tank) and someone jumped me from behind. Excellent strategy. Just a few minutes ago I beat down a MOSQUITO. You are supposed to be running circles around Reavers, damnit! Use that turning ability! Elmo tried to run, but I nailed him. So I'll give a few tips to you, without giving away my edge. No, it's not hax. TIPS: 1: Never, never fly straight when in a dogfight. Are you listening, Mr. Mosquito that I just downed? 2: Altitude is life. If you are so high that they cant see you, you can pounce on them. 3: Do not be afraid to land, get out a Gauss/Cycler/Whatever and help with taking a base. It gets you lots of BEPs. I rarely see people do this, most just go to the next enemy base. 4: Reaver pilots: Never, NEVER attack with rockets against an air target. The only thing you MIGHT do this against is a Galaxy. A Liberator is too fast. 5: Mosquito pilots: You outturn Reavers. Make use of it. 6: Position is key to winning a dogfight. If you can see your opponent first, or attack him from the sides or 6 O'Clock, you pretty much have a guaranteed win. 7: Do not attack a base alone. Wall turrets are nasty oppnonents. Of course, if you're NC and join my outfit, I'll give you the 8th tip, the withheld tip.

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

i play sparrow max and a tip for you reavers and mosquitos - If u get a missile lock dont fret and fly away as fast as possible- its easier to get a missile lock on moving targets
EDIT: if you are in a reaver you could take me down with those rockets anyway

Why are most reaver pilots so elitist? I fly a reaver. It's not hard. There's not much skill involved. In fact, it's probably the single easiest way to kill things in the game with little to no risk to yourself. Shooting down enemy reavers/mosqs isn't too hard because, due to the requirements to be a reaver pilot (see above) most people are miserable anyway.

I have also yet to be downed by an aircraft vehicle....I strafe and use afterburner to get to a high altitute quickly...I once strafed 6 reinforced armors and 2 MAXes guarding an AMS. I got the reinforced armors, almost killed both MAXes, and shot the already damaged AMS to pieces, but then I hit a tree. So I ejected, and blew up the remaining MAX with a Phoenix missile....so a tree is more dangerous to me than the TR.
