Which do you think will give better performance? I'm building a new PC for a friend and I already have the 8x Ti4200 I could give him but, I also know someone selling a 4x Ti4600 (both have 128mb) for a very good price that I could get also. Thoughts, opinions???

well, at this moment in time, you're not going to get a significant performance boost if you get an 8x card. Also, if your mobo doesn't support 8x then why get it? I'd get the 4600. A little more performance out of the 4600 than the 4200 anyway.
Save the 4200 and try to sell it on here. I know of a lot of ppl who are using a GeForce4MX card that would LOVE an upgrade.
