Ok this is really bad on sony's side.....I had a 30 min weapon ban and with 30 seconds left a marauder ran me over and i got 7 mins more for the weapon ban so i cussed at the guy who did it and he got mad and ran me over 3 more times and i got 30 more mins for the weapon ban, they really need to fix that.

The reason this happens is when you're hit by a vehicle, not only does it hurt you (often fatally) but you do damage to IT as well, netting you grief points.
However, I have to say that if my grief was that high I'd just call it a night and let them decay for a while.

I think this is one of those things that looked good on paper, but royaly sucked as far as actual ingame effects go. Sometime during development someone must have said "hey, what about someone who jumps infront of other peoples vehicles to get them grief?" So they decided to put in grief for getting run over, to give everyone on the road an incentive to pay attention. But in reality it's just stupid, although if it's that big a problem, barring SA or pounder users, you probly need to rethink your tactics abit.
Edit: not directing that at you, but seriously, if you weapon lock yourself it's probably time to go to sleep.

Who jumps in front of a fast moving vehicle anyway?

Well, some of us would, if we were bored enough.

I love bowling people over with my reever while waiting for a hack. I usually rack up about 100-150 grief each day I play.
So many stupid people. So few bullets. Ok here's one for you, how many times have you been waiting for a hack and theres some asshat in the courtyard in a max just shooting off rounds sometimes hitting people due to his bad aim sometimes just making everyone run around looking to see if there's a cloaker. I love sitting in the air in my reever popping off quick shots with my 20mm all around him, maybe hitting him 10% of the time. Everytime he stops walking and looks around I stop firing (course I'm looking through zoomed in from up high). Sigh I know I'm evil sometimes... Course a lot better than unknownplayer or olddirtymexican or evilsquirrel. Those guys get their galaxy's loaded up, then fly over water and eject everyone. Bunch of dicks.... |

I just don't shoot anyone so my grief stays low, and when some idiot runs you over you only get like 5 grief so it doesn't matter. Plus low grief means you can shoot wildly in those tight cornered bases not fearing you will get grief points because it won't really affect you as much.
