What a Stinker.
If you are so inclined, go check out the Striker in a VR center. Try killing different things with it and see if you can think of a situation in which it doesn't stink up the battlefield. I'm not whining here - I didn't even notice until today because I use Decimator for AV. I played a Quasar for a couple hours today and whenever I saw a guy with a Striker I got that feeling of relief that comes from knowing you're about to own a guy. Decimator guys were as scary as ever, though. So I have three credits for a vehicle. I imagine most of TR does now. Let's hope we see more Prowlers and Skyguards out there. Just my opinion.

I LOVE the skyguard. It kicks ass, it's so fun to gun. It gives me pleasure to shoot down a reaver. I actually did that once when I was an infil. In a secluded base, a reaver (hovering in the air), basilisk and a skyguard were present. I hacked the two land vehicles and confused the hell out of the reaver before I took it down. I got spammed by another reaver while I searched the trunk of the basilisk.
Is the rocklet rifle any good? What is it good against? I've used it, but it seems worthless. |

The Skyguard has amazing agility, probably so it can chase aircraft over rough terrain. As for its gun, it kills more than aircraft. Also, you can drive it in reinforced exosuit, which means less changing armor.

Striker indvidually may not be effective in a 1v1 against a MAX, but I've never encountered someone carrying a Striker alone, I notice users travel in groups (which is good). 3 Striker users seem to be able to elminate my Comet MAX pretty damn fast.
Not as fast granted as a trio of Phoenix users, but that is a different story. |

It depends on where you are and how much practice you have with the weapon, actually. Inside it's not so hot because especially now it's difficult for it to dish out sufficient amounts of pain in time to be effective compared to what MAXes can throw against people (but that was fairly true even pre-patch.) It can still work if the target is distracted or hurt, though, and unlike the Deci you're fairly guaranteed not to miss.
But if you meet me outside, and you're not already 10 meters or closer, I do not boast when I say prepare to die. Believe me, when the good Striker operators are out using a MAX outdoors is certain death. You'd better hope you've got a lot of spamming Lasher/surging Jackhammer infantry support to stop us before we finish unloading the PAIN onto you. Hopefully, of course, people will see me owning every walking suit of armor in sight and pick the thing up again. |
