As a casual gamer, I don't believe CC is worth the price. It may be only $30, but I won't spend any extra money to 'keep up with the Joneses'.

This expansion made me realize that at this moment, PlanetSide no longer has the same appeal it once did. I want to fight a war, not do delivery runs.

I live in Canada, and am I ever glad it snowed today. I logged on to get some action in and have had nothing but brutal lag and one ugly ugly CTD that erased all of my keymaps. I am running along, and for 2-3 seconds at a time my comp freezes. This happens at least twice a minute during any sort of firefight and renders the game completely unplayable. I am not talking about a slightly lower FPS here, I am talking about a complete system freeze for 2 to 3 seconds at a time, and it happens constantly.

I have nothing against SOE trying to make some extra cash on an expansion, but if it BREAKS their current product, it is totally unacceptable. Normally I get pissed off when people threaten to quit because of something they don't like, but now I am a part of the angry mob instead of a raving fanboy. Not only have I decided against buying Core Combat, but I will not be renewing my subscription mid-November unless they get this fixed in a hurry. Seriously, who else could release a new product that sabotages their existing ones? Imagine if your 2004 Lexus disabled the brakes on any 2003 Lexus that drove by? Kind of a bizarre example but seriously this is what they have done to their current customer base.

I wasn't planning on getting it, my my buddy and I decided, what the hell else do we have to play? And he paid for my copy. *Winks* All I can say is that after playing without CC, and seeing all the new stuff, and not being able to buy or use any of it, I was pissed. I thought we would be able to use it, just not to be able to go into the core. But after testing all the stuff in VR, and teasing myself, I'm glad I got CC. It makes things that much harder. Now we have to worry about invasion from the underground Lattice links as well. All I can say is that when you see first hand for yourself how nasty some of the new stuff can be, it make you want to get that stuff for your side, and for yourself. I've yet to see the Painfield mod in a base, but I hear it is VERY nasty. The Irradiator weapon is NASTY indoors too. VERY NASTY. Make you want it in your hands. Now, all SOE has to do is impliment a new Sniper weapon, and a new AV weapon. The made a new weapon for MA, HA, and SA.
