From what I gathered, it's about a psychic, parasitic, fungus based alien race. If you eat some of the fungus a baby grows in your guts and you bloat and then they tear their way out of your asshole. They have lots of teeth and are really mean.
It's really kind of cool. Their spaceships are biological and they used their powers to make themselves look like the big headed, large eyed, slender aliens when they are really like a giant mouth on legs with eyes.
